• Apple widget doesn’t work properly

The Apple Watch widget doesn’t show the amount on you account all the time, to be honest, I need to log in every time I want to see it. The only moment I don’t have to log in, is when I left de bunq and immediately show the widget. Is this only with me?

@Lucas-European#69196 Do you have 'Refresh on background' turned on for bunq in the settings of your iPhone?

@Lucas-European#69196 Which Apple Watch widget are you talking about? There is no bunq Apple Watch app.

@Lucas-European#69196 Do you mean IPhone widget? I’m not aware of a Apple Watch widget. For the iPhone widget it all depends on the auto logout timing. When you set it to a few minutes, the widget stops working too. Setting it to a day for example will keep info in the widget visible for a day.

The title was changed after the topic was started. I was furiously searching my iPhone and Watch too...

            @Samzoiets#69202 Me too. 😂

Was just about to go on a treasure (app) hunt. 🤪😂

Watch complication would be nice indeed

@Hemmik#69200 Yes I mean the iPhone widget, so if my balance is shown depends on the auto logout timing? I didn’t know that

But I my auto logout is one day, has never been different, so that a bit strange isn’t it?

@Lucas-European#69243 Have you tried putting Refresh on for bunq on your iPhone?
(Settings > General > Refresh on background > bunq

@Samzoiets#69287 I tried, but still nothing helps 😢

I guess some things do not work properly since the last iOS updates. Often a hard reset helps to solve some issues (delayed notifications, SMS, ...).

@Lucas-European#69289 if the widget tells you to login, is the app still logged in: if you open the bunq app, do you briefly see a login screen or not?

The widget doesn't show your account amounts when you have passed the automatic logout time (Profile - > Security & Settings -> Automatic logout [that could be translated differently]).

@MitchellvB995#69438 I think it’s a bug because I set this function to 1 day, but still the same

                                  4 years later

Still doesn't work, seems to me that the widget is faulty. I'm an iOS developer myself and it's definitely not the background refresh.

Setting the logout to a longer setting doesn't help either, pressing the widget doesn't force you to login--meaning the app was still logged in.

Seems to me that they should check the widget's code to see what's wrong.

Currently on an iPhone 14 Pro at iOS 16.2

                                    a year later

                                    Still not working 🙁
