Is there any chance we will get virtual maestro cards instead of mastercard only?

    @LH-Black-Wolf#70675 What would be the use case?

      @Roeshimi#70681 Apple/Google Pay

        Ist es denn möglich, virtuelle Karten zu GPay hinzuzufügen 🤔
        Sieht nicht so aus.

          @Sagrido#70746

          The topic starter is referring to the 'Online Cards' with the cloud logo which are also virtual. And not the limited (blue/grey) virtual cards that have been given out for Apple/Tap & Pay before.

            @Sagrido#70748

            Correct, that's why adding a Maestro to Online Cards wouldn't be very nice as it would be confusing.

              @Tim#70747 OK, vielleicht ist das gemeint:
              Dass man generell Karten nur virtuell ordern kann? Das fände ich auch super. Kein Warten auf die Post, sondern eine rein virtuelle Nutzung aller MasterCards und Maestros.

                @Tim#70747 Diese so genannten Online Karten die bunq erst vor kurzem eingeführt hat sind doch virtuelle Karten oder nicht? Eine solche (Mastercard) kann ich problemlos mit Gpay nutzen. Geht übrigens auch mit virtuellen Visacards anderer Anbieter.

                  @----#70761

                  In the discussion it's about not being able to use a (virtual) Maestro for online payments, bunq doesn't accept these payments. It does work with Mastercard of course.

                  When from an eligible country both a Maestro and Mastercard can be added to Apple/G Pay though, wether it's a physical or 'older version virtual' card.

                  In my point of view adding Maestro cards to the 'Online Cards' feature would therefore make it too unclear. As it would sound like Maestro cards could then also be used for Online Payments.

                  bunq currently had 3 types of cards:

                  • Physical cards
                  • Virtual cards
                  • Online cards

                    I am not a banker, but I think Maestro Cards cannot be used for online payments.

                      @----#70763

                      In certain countries (also where bunq is active) it is. But bunq simply doesn't allow these online Maestro payments to go through.

                      It's possible in at least:

                      Belgium, Italy and Germany.

                        @Tim#70762 I thought Online and Virtual were the same...

                          @----#70765

                          There are also the older virtual cards, and yes again the new 'online cards' are virtual too. It's just my way of separating them. 😁

                            It seems bunq isn't even promoting the fact that "Online" mastercards can be added to Apple/Google Pay, i.e. it is not possible to add them from within the bunq app, only by entering the card number manually into Apple/Google's own tools.

                              @vampjon#70770 Exactly...
