  • Top up using Apple Pay/Google Pay

@Ashad-Green-Starfish#134086 not everything can be free. Somehow bills have to be paid. At bunq you simply pay for anything that bunq cannot sustainably offer within the memberships. If you don't like the prices then you need to choose whether bunq is the best bank for you. ๐Ÿ‘

    I understand bills have to be paid as I run a business too and also I have already decided whether bunq is the bank for me or not which I believe is not required to be heard from someone specially who is an employee of bunq. I suggested or in other words requested for Apple Pay to be free as itโ€™s offered by competitors like revolut for free.

      What would that feature in the bunq app look like? No one here is aware of this functionality to topup your bunq account with Apple Pay. Do you have a screenshot perhaps?

        @Ashad-Green-Starfish#134101 specially who is an employee of bunq

        I am not an employee. I am a volunteer, specifically a volunteer moderating on this forum. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Employees have blue "employee" badges next to their names, instead of the purple "moderator" badges. ๐Ÿ™‚
        As Tim mentions, the feature is not even here yet (as far as I know), so let bunq first build the feature, chances are that it will be free in the first place. bunq tries to include as much as possible in the memberships, most new features are already included. And when they do not include them, then the maths have shown it was not a sustainable option. ๐Ÿ™‚

          @Roeshimi#134096 Apologies, I got confused. Apple Pay is not available yet. My bad. I use revolut and they offer Apple Pay top up for free.

            @Ashad-Green-Starfish#134142 Ok got it โ˜บ๏ธ

              @Sander#134117 Whether you are a employee or a volunteer or a moderator or all of the three, you donโ€™t have to get personal with anyone and tell them if you donโ€™t like the prices then please choose something else. You can use better language or be polite.

                @Sander#134117 And by the way, all digital banks make money from visa and MasterCard for every use on the terminal, the banks are paid commissions. So, even if someone is using the free membership that doesnโ€™t mean bunq is not making money for your kind information. Thanks.

                  @Ashad-Green-Starfish#134144 there's nothing impolite about my answer. I'm simply suggesting that other companies might have offers that suit your needs better. ๐Ÿ˜ Obviously I want you to stay with bunq, but not when that doesn't fit your needs. bunq has a completely different revenue model, which is/appears expensive, hence it doesn't fit everyone. And bunq also only wants you to have a bank that fits you best, when bunq's offering doesn't match your needs then they are also the first to refer you to other banks. in the end the aim is just to get everyone the best experience. ๐Ÿ™‚

                    @Ashad-Green-Starfish#134145 I know. I worked there before being a volunteer. ๐Ÿ™‚ but that doesn't cover the slightest bit of costs. ๐Ÿ™‚

                    Anyway, I'm stepping out, because we're going too far off topic. You are always free to join one of the (unofficial) Telegram groups for a more extensive offtopic discussion if you want. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

                      @Sander#134146 Currently revolut is offering Apple Pay to top up plus itโ€™s free so yes I know very well revolut is better for me, hence bunq is my second option for the time being. Bunq needs to introduce Apple Pay and that too for free if it wants to compete with revolut. For a consumer like me, I choose better and more service for lease cost. Thanks.

                        @Ashad-Green-Starfish#134150 One last remark: bunq does offer Apple Pay (it's included in all memberships, also the free one). Just topup using Apple Pay is not available, for which we have this topic. So make sure to hit the upvote/high five button on the top and who knows it will be implemented. ๐Ÿ˜

                        Have a great day! ๐ŸŒˆ

                          a month later

                          @Roeshimi#138623 nvm. Force-quitting the app did the trick

                            @pbruins84#138621
                            Good news and a good start - the feature will be competitive if there would be no limit as there are fees after the "small" limit of 500 EUR/month.
                            I do comment here as the linked topic does not allow comments.

                              @Heiko-Hartwig#138652 Is topping up by Credit Card et. al. your only means of getting money into your bunq account(s)? Or why would you need higher, free limits (or no limits at all)?

                                2 years later

                                Itโ€™s not workingโ€ฆ

                                  @Goldgamer#239306 Could you specify what is not working? Apple Pay support for top-ups etc. has been disabled 2 years ago and is not supposed to work at the moment: https://together.bunq.com/d/25824

                                    @Jakob-Y#239322 For revolut it works fine with no fraud. Maybe it was an issue at that time but in 2022 they should be able to fix thatโ€ฆ
