Couldn’t find any website or app that accepts Maestro. Is ApplePay Maestro card suitable for online payment? (Example?) Or just for PoS NFC?

Es ist sehr selten, dass Maestro online akzeptiert wird. Es ist eher für PoS.
@Laki#72066 It is not compatible with online payments at this time.
Some online shops accept Maestro, I’ve seen this a few times.
@senlukastiel#72076 They do. Though I'm not sure if the cards bunq issues are compatible with it. But the Maestro cards in Apple Pay all claim that they're not compatible with online payments. Not sure if that's a problem with Maestro, Apple Pay or the type of card bunq issues.
Revolut uses this, for example. But, as the bunq Maestro isn‘t enabled for online payments, you can‘t use it...
@ThatOneAss#72086 So the Maestro cards you have on Apple Pay from revolut actually function online?
@LH-Black-Wolf#72095 Don‘t know about topping up via Apple Pay and Maestro, but you could enter the card number, exp. date and CVC to top up directly. bunq Maestros don‘t work that way, alas.
@ThatOneAss#72098 No no, I mean: the Maestro you have from Revolut and put in Apple Pay: you can pay with that online on sites that accept Apple Pay?
@LH-Black-Wolf#72099 You can‘t add any Revolut cards to Apple Pay yet.
Though there is some traffic, when trying to add the cards manually, but it still says „Not supported by issuer yet“.
ATM only Google Pay is supported by Revolut.
And I haven‘t tried to pay via Maestro on websites... TBH, I have yet to see a site offering that payment option.
Hi👋
With some card providers or banks it's possible to use the Maestro for online payments. Though bunq doesn't accept these transactions.
For the combination of Apple Pay and Maestro, it's also not possible to use it online as Apple doesn't feature this. It's only possible to pay online with Apple Pay when using a Mastercard.
Okay thank you for your answers. So I will just go on using Mastercard for online & app payments and Maestro for NFC PoS payments (both ApplePay)
FYI Amazon UK accepts Maestro.
