  • Show your balance in another currency (e.g. based on your location)

Yes, I need this!

@JohnDo#76198 nice gif but shouldn't you use the high five icon instead of Facebook thumbs up? 🌈

@JeroenE#76216 Fair enough! Consider it changed ;)

J'aime cette proposition. Ajouter le choix manuel de la devise en plus de la localisation .

Hey bunqers! 👋 Thank you for all the high fives. Some people asked for an option to choose a currency, but I did not ask for it, because it would add another option to the app.
I want to keep the bunq app clean, so I thought about this automatic way to implement this - only an option to disable it, when you get it the first time would be something I would like, too :)
And detecting your country should be working good enough, it's not like detecting a specific address :p

Sander changed the title to Show your balance in another currency (e.g. based on your location).

Thanks for introducing this! Really need it

Excellente idée. Moi même qui ne suis pas français, étant natif estonien (donc je voyage beaucoup), je suis amené à aller dans d'autre pays qui ont d'autre devise que l'€, il est donc important d'avoir sa somme en $.
                Très bonne idée !

.... I just want to see the exact amount and currency that I spent. That essential, basic feature seems gone now since the app shows the local currency instead. How do I disable this feature?

@Tom-Indigo-Dolphin#228512 Profile > Settings. There's a toggle. But as long as you're still in a Euro-country, this toggle doesn't change anything anyway because the feature is only activated in non-Euro countries.

If you're asking about payments that you made from your Euro-denominated sub-account in another currency, these were always just displayed in Euro. This feature hasn't changed anything about that. The original amount can always be found in the payment description, though.

I think it would be a nice new idea to also be able to choose to see the local currency that payments originated in, even if the sub-account is denominated in another currency. But that's unrelated to this feature.

I'm in Switzerland but I would like to see my euro payments in euros :). Thanks for the heads up.
