  • My issue is similar to Lorinda's topic about changing the Tax Identification Number (TIN) - I've put in a TIN but will need to change it.

However, my situation is a bit different and I'm wondering if changing the TIN deserves some UX consideration.

I opened a bunq account as a soon-to-be expat in the Netherlands. I intend to provide the BSN (the Dutch TIN) within 90 days, as required by bunq. However, the bunq app asked me about my current tax residency so I submitted my current tax residency, which is not Dutch. Looking around the app, much like Lorinda in March, I can't find an obvious way to change the TIN once I get my BSN.

I will, of course, contact Support to add the BSN to my account, but could there be a way to do this without taking up Support time?

    • Hi @Tim#139805 - I'll definitely talk to Support about this 👍
I was just curious what other community members did with their umlauts 🤔

      • My family name has the character "ö" which is how it appears in my passport. My passport also has it written as "oe" in the machine-readable section.

After bunq got my passport details, it decided to spell my name using "oe", which I never do. Whenever a system doesn't support the "ö" character, I just use "o" because it looks most like my family name.

It's really awkward to see my name written with extra letters and I'd like the option to use just "o".

How do you deal with the umlauts/special characters in your name?

        • @Bastiaan#139797 I've been having trouble enabling Tap&Pay on my Android - the process errors at the "Adding love" stage on the yellow screen saying something went wrong at bunq's side.

Thanks for trying to help, I really appreciate it. I'll check with support to see what's up.

I've tried force-quitting but there's no change. I only have the "Cancel card order" under the Maestro card. Both "Settings" and "Card details" are missing.

              • Thank you for the speedy reply @Tim#139769 - it helped clarify some of my confusion.
However, I don't have "settings" for the Maestro card I've ordered. I only have "Cancel card order".

                • Hello :D

I just opened a bunq Premium account and I ordered a Maestro card to go with my Tap&Pay Maestro.
The card is due to arrive in 15 days. However I can't link this card to any of my accounts. Do I have to wait until I get the card to link it to an account?

Also, I don't know if this is connected, but I can't enable Tap&Pay at the moment because of an issue on the bunq side.

                  Thank you!
