Hi, so similar experience here. I talked to PayPal multiple Times. I tried adding a NL IBAN, a BE IBAN, a FR IBAN, a HR IBAN and a Polish IBAN. Everytime I had an error. I called PayPal multiple Times. All Accounts where Blacklistet, the support agent told me. But this was not possible because those IBANs where all created for the purpose of testing this.

My conclusion: PayPal hates Fintech Banks or just discriminates people based on their Bank Account location. This is illegal in the EU since 2017.

A few agents told me that they removed the option of adding non german bank accounts for germans because of security reasons. This is still illegal. But as long as nobody complains nothing will change. There are institution which get in court for you.

Also ich habe Mittlerweile die Deutsche IBAN beantragt. Jetzt habe ich nur noch die Option einer Deutsche IBAN. Die alten NL IBANs sind jedoch noch da und verwendbar. Ich warte noch auf die Funktion zwischen DE und NL IBANs Jederzeit frei wählen zu können.

Also für alle die auch die Deutsche IBAN wollen jedoch auch die Niederländische mögen: Macht euch eine Paar Subaccounts vorher auf.

@Casper-Yellow-Wolf#169203 And People should keep in mind that everything at bunq is optional. Like adding extensions. So PayPal would be a similar addition to bunq.

As a Revolout and Monese user you can login into PayPal directly. This way you don't have to enter your IBAN and/or Card Number and the account is automatically validated and verified. Also bunq seems to be blacklisted by PayPal. Probably because bunq gives you so many IBANs. Also Monese shows all your PayPal activity in a diffrent tab inside the monese app. It would be a great way to keep up and organize your finances all inside bunq.

I successfully requested the DE IBAN in the App. I now miss the Option to request a new NL IBAN. NL IBANs where useful in some instances. For example Payments to Dutch companies.

Maybe BUNQ should bring the option to choose between NL and DE IBANs however you like.

@brmlmn#165302 But this is not possible, because Bunq is a Dutch bank and would need a additional license in Belgium. And also would need to support BE Ibans. This license often costs more than Million Euros per Country. Depending on where you life. Also Girocard (a similar System in Germany) has those requirements. If they would accept payment methods of every EU State the costs would be unimaginable.

The Issue many Bunq users may have:

I do a payment online or in a store. A minute Later I get the notification "You planted x Trees". I cannot silence this notification because there is no option in the app and also those notification are pushed over the card payments channel. And card payments shouldn't be silence. So It's only a small imperfection, but definitely an easy thing to solve.

@Bastiaan#179222 Germany. I have support on my phone. But it's only a buggy partial support on my phone. I contacted Bunq and they said they only support GPay for Phones and not for watch.

I can like I Sayed use some cards. But not the Metal Card. Because it's not supported.

Add Official Support for Google Pay on Wear OS.

It would be awesome to be able to use Metal Cards on Wear OS Watches with Google Pay.

Online Cards and if you are luck some Cards work without any issue on Google Pay on Wear OS.

But because there is no Official Support for this Plattform from Bunq, I always need to take my phone out of my pocket while I'm loaded mit Groceries.

So to make it even more special to use Bunq this feature should be there soon.

Sadly Planting trees only applies when paying with your credit card. But paying using ideal or Klarna Payments makes life easier and you don't need to enter the credit card details Everytime.
