Hi bin Easy Travel Nutzer, d.h. ohne Möglichkeit Unterkonten zu eröffnen. Nun habe ich als Bestandskunde die Option angezeigt bekommen eine deutsche IBAN zu bekommen. Allerdings wird das immer nur im Zusammenhang mit Unterkonten erwähnt.
Wie ist das also wenn man nur ein Konto mit NL IBAN hat und keine Unterkonten eröffnen darf. Bekommt mein Konto dann ein Alias?
In advance of my trip to the US, I’d like to get a small amount of dollars as cash :P
At e.g. Sparkasse the fee is quite high…
So, I was wondering if with bunq it is possible to somehow withdraw dollars here in Germany ;)
Does anyone know some possibility?

Ok then using a parallel Travel Card with PROMO is useless.
Since Apple Pay should come to Travel Card and Apple Pay is the only usecase I habe for bunq, I‘m thinking about also converting to the Travel Card membership ☺️
How does topping-up the Travel Card work?
If I understood correctly, there is no bank account behind it, and there is no IBAN...?
Can I still send money from my german bank to the Travel Card using SEPA as I do now with PROMO/Premium?

@Sander#96873 you can't. That would require you to combine two memberships, which is not possible unfortunately. You will need to pick one or the other

But here comes another issue:
Support did not only tell me, that the card will cost 9,99€ but also that my 250€ will not apply….
That was the reason, why I opened up this discussion here!
Please get me right, I’d love to pay the 9,99€!
However, I’m soooo concerned that the support is wrong about the 250€ limit :( (Since I can’t imagine it, too. As you said, they should make me upgrade to premium…)

@Sander#96866 Ofcourse, but the Promo is still a promotion, it's intended to let you experience bunq, but the idea is still to persuade you to upgrade to Premium. 😉
Then I’d rather stay on PROMO and pay 9,99€ once for the Travel Card (like a user without membership), to have at least the Travel Card without the limit :( (As I have the withdrawal fee anyway…)
Support told me, a Travel Card will cost me 9,99€ but the ordering process tells me it’s free - so I don’t believe support at all :/

@Sander#96852 Yes, it applies on all transactions on your accounts, irregardless of your payment method.
Ok, that would suck and make the Travel Card useless for me…

@Sander#96852 As far as I know your Promo membership includes this, you are also able to withdraw for free (10 times/month) right? Then this should also be free now with the Travel card I'd say. 🤔

As I’m neither a native English speaker nor a banking expert - and from the provided documents my case seems to be special - I have some questions about getting the Travel Card and the conditions applying in my case:
I’m currently on the PROMO subscription, which basically is a premium account BUT with a monthly limit of 250€. And I want to keep this subscription, neither going for pure premium nor falling back to Free ;) (This account type is never detailed in all the Travel Card pricing guides...)
As a PROMO user, will I get the Travel Card for free, as I have an active membership?
From the docs it says only users without any membership have to pay 9,99€ once.
Will my monthly limit of 250€ also persist on the Travel Card or can I spend more with it? (As I’m traveling to the US for 3 weeks, 250€ might be little less :D)
Do I have to pay 99ct per withdrawal, or are withdrawals free for me? (Same question as above: is my PROMO membership enough for this feature…)

So, ich hatte gerade mit CONGSTAR Kontakt. (Sie haben die Prepaid-SIM meines Opas deaktiviert…)
Für die Rückbuchung des noch vorhandenen Guthabens wurde mir angeboten, ich könne doch eine IBAN nennen…
Tja, nach eingabe meiner BUNQ IBAN war der Support auf einmal gar nicht mehr hilfsbereit und meinte es geht nur an deutsche IBANS gemäß SEPA Standart :(
Habe jetzt eine Frist für die Überweisung per Mail gesetzt und auf die ansonsten drohende Meldung bei der BaFin und Wettbewerbszentrale hingewiesen.
Bin gespannt :D

@Tim#50485 No, since we are talking about the „official name“, not the „public visible name“.
English and Dutch show the correct menu, the German version edits just the public name, which has no effect for payments but only in Togehter...
(I‘m on 9.6.1 btw 😉)
@Tom#50277 @Tom Within the knowledge article just released, the video in the German translation part is wrong!
For Eng and NL the video correctly shows the right menu, however, in the German version the animation types the name in the below field instead of choosing from the dropdown menu 😉
Apple Pay ist gerade wegen dem besseren Datenschutz ein gutes Angebot, daher ist es fraglich wie clever es ist MasterCard durch die Teilnahme an diesem „Bonus“Programm doch alle Daten zu den getätigten Transaktionen zu liefern... 👎🏼
Ich bin bereits 2(!) Wochen(!) über das angegebene Lieferdatum!
