At many "traditional" banks it is possible, if you ask, to choose your own IBAN number from a list of options. This is based on the number of available payment accounts at the bank's office. In this way you can choose your own account number that is easy to remember, so that you become attached to that bank immediately.
Now it immediately struck me that this is totally impossible at Bunq . You are automatically assigned a randomly generated account number, and with a bit of luck you will come across the right one after you have created 25 accounts. This should not be possible otherwise?
I would not even have to fully customize your IBAN , but at least a range of options should not be possible? This can possibly be introduced as an extra "premium" service. I can pay to have my own license plate made ... Why would this not be possible with an IBAN number?
If not, a large adjustment to the algorithms would be fine. What random numbers generate is not entirely 21st century.
