  • Swip to the..... right :) Search and Hide.

Dear bunqrz,

So John, you got another idea?

Yes! Since Update7 we have the cool swipe-to-the-left feature. So, why not go for a swipe-to-the-right also! :)

Cool idea John, but which functions should that contain?

Glade you asked. Well I was thinking about a Search function which immediately search for similar events. And maybe also a Hide feature, which obviously hide al similar events from the Event view. But that last one is kind of tricky, so it has to be clear when you are watching a filtered Event view. Sounds great John, anything else while you are at it?

Ow I'm full of ideas.. so lets put one right in the mix: a grand total of all the search result. That way I can quickly see how much I spent in a particular store in a particular period. That would give me a great insight in my expenses, whiteout interfering the keep-it-simple design!

John, we know you... now you are going to show some mock ups right?

Damn, you guys do know me. Well here you go:

    Hey John!

At first I thought "Cool idea John, but which functions should that contain?", then "Sounds great John, anything else while you are at it?", then "Sounds great John, anything else while you are at it?"....

But seeing you already answered all of those, I'll just say: Thanks buddy! nice addition! 🙌

Seems very nice, if I may add to your suggestion:

swipe right —> contains ‘star / flag’ (allows you to star / flag an event, an additional button shows all the events you’ve starred or flagged), or a ‘hide’ button that hides the event from the events list.

swipe left could contain ‘all...’ (which shows all payments to the same party) and the current ‘split’ function.

Hi René, you got some pretty good ideas. I like the idea to flag an event!

I personally would put the 'see all flagged'-button near the search button in the event menu bar. This because I think a swipe button should only represent a action directly associated with the event. I think 3 buttons will be the limit for a swipe action. I think it would also help if you can add a comment to a (flagged) event.

That’s what I meant too John :). Upon swiping left you see the ‘see all’ and ‘split’ button. Upon swiping right you see the ‘flag’ and ‘hide’. The ‘see all flagged’ should indeed be at the top, as well as a button to show all hidden events.

I like the idea of being able to add a comment to an event. This could even be expanded into ‘categories’ or something.

            John,

Only one word for this post: Brilliant !!

              Woww... thank you Perry! 👍

This is something I really like to see. Only maybe it is a better idea to swipe left to show all the options. And swipe right to hide the transaction.

And then in the top of the events feed, a button with "hidden" or something. So that you can always move them back.

Great to hear you thoughts. Sounds like a great variation. To avoid to 'scare the user off' by showing all options at once, I choose the options of a right and left swipe. But on the other hand, Request and Split button could be merged into one button (in Android both buttons takes you to the same screen).

                    9 months later

Someone ask me today were the mockup was... well is got lost during the Together migration... but here it is again

@JohnDo#51011 Very good idea, this should have been in the bunq app years ago, and then when tapping search, the app will show all transactions to and from that merchant/store/retailer or direct debit party. Why this isn’t in the app, one can only guess....

@JohnDo#51011 Still would like to see the option to see all the payments from and to a specific counter party in one glance.

If this would be best solved with a swipe action or just by tapping on the counter party’s icon in the details page doesn’t really matter to me. I would just like an easier way of viewing all the events regarding a specific counter party.

@JohnDo#1512 I don't find swiping very user friendly. Why should I have to try to swipe everythign just to see if somethings happens?

And even if it gets used I would propose to have the same "menu" wether you swipe right or left.
