I am looking into receiving a SWIFT transfer from outside SEPA-area. In the pricing document the swift inbound fee is 5/10/25 euro depending on the amount of the payment. However, it is not clear whether the same fee applies for SHA, OUR and BEN. Logically it shouldn't. How does this work with Bunq? If for example, the payment is marked as BEN, does it mean there are no costs at sender side and only this flat fee on my side?
SWIFT fee for incoming transfers

@Kateryna-Silver-Butterfly#104594 The same fee applies for all SWIFT payments regardless of SHA, OUR or BEN as far as I am aware because they're processing these transactions manually so the fee is probably mostly for their own labor costs.
@JeroenE#104597 from what I see here https://together.bunq.com/d/1038-how-to-contact-bunq they say that "bunq doesn't use an intermediary bank for non-SEPA payments." So there shouldn't be any "Banken onderweg" and additional costs from those, right? So if it is BEN then it's gonna be just flat rate from Bunq for me and nothing for the sender?

Bunq says they don’t use intermediary banks because they don’t offer SWIFT transfers ;-) That’s what the Transferwise integration is for. If they would offer SWIFT transfers, they would have to use intermediaries as well. Otherwise that would mean they would have a direct business relationship with every available bank on this planet. Transferwise is, so to say, their intermediary for sending.
With receiving funds, Bunq can only say that they are not working with a 3rd party „on their end“. They can be directly reached via SWIFT. But the route the money is taking before it reaches Bunq can and does still vary. And Bunq has little control over this route.
I don’t have experience with SWIFT and Bunq, but my assumption is that this fee applies in addition to whatever is taken from the sent amount during the way. My assumption is that with BEN, all accumulated fees will be deducted from the sent amount and then Bunq charges their fee on top. With OUR, the full sent amount will be credited, but Bunq will still charge the fee as stated in the T&Cs.
