• 🇬🇧 Money transfer to an account with Dutch Switching Service active

Hello bunquers, I don’t know if anyone has incurred in this problem and found a solution.

I have another bank account with the DSS active towards my Bunq. Now, that account is below zero because of some monthly costs and I would like to even the balance. Problem is I cannot transfer money from Bunq because the money goes back, in a loop.

I would like to avoid using the ATM. Do I really need to use a friend as intermediary? I am not even sure that will work🤔

@matticala#105060 When you send the money from the account the DDS is directed to(your new account at bunq), the money shouldn't bounce back to your new account. If it still does, it sounds like a bug (at your old bank) to me.

@pbruins84#105064 It works indeed. At least with ING. I have activated the Dutch Switch account to my bunq account. I realized after getting ~ to 0 that I had to have at least 20 Euro to close my ING account so I sent directly from my bunq account, which is the one I forwarded the switch, to my ING IBAN and I got the transfer done with no bounces.

It does not work the other way round with an iDeal request from ING. It would not manage to avoid the switch filters.

      Cheers

iDEAL transfers typically flow through an intermediate account of the bank so that results in a different IBAN as the counterparty and also explains why those aren't forwarded.
