  • Show description and amount of Request/bunq.me in link preview

Wouldn't it be nice when the description and the amount is sent in the e-mail body

when requesting payment by e-mail? I just read that the 140 chars text(sms) limit

poses a problem when using phone numbers but in an e-mail there is no such limit :-)

p.s. The same goes for the webpage bunq.me, Description and amount visible would

make it a bit more clear for non bunq users what's going on. Even putting these two into

the text in the shared link for whatsapp and others would be neat :-)

    Hey there!

That does sound like something we could be looking in to ๐Ÿค”

Thanks for that tip, it's going on the wishlist straight away! ๐Ÿ‘

Was just writing a new question and then found this 5 month old thread to bump.

Can we please give Bunq.me requests a bit more love?

People just don't understand the links because it looks like this:

Yes, both were actual payment request. As you can see, sharing a bunq.me payment request needs quite some 'introduction' which doesn't make it as effortless as it could be. Right now I have to:manually tap somewhere above the pre-written share link so I can type text and finish with the link as call to actionmanually type the request text to ask people to payexplain that the link I sent is actually a payment request so people will click it

It's easy to refer to Tikkie as a good example, and I think there are some really quick wins to be made.

It can be so much easier:provide a default share text like: 'Could you please pay me for <subject> by clicking this link?'use a good preview title with call to action (use OpenGraph metadata)use a good preview description (use OpenGraph metadata)use a good thumbnail (bunq logo is fine, like in WhatsApp, but please don't use the version in the iMessage example, because it doesn't look like bunq advertisement instead of a payment request)mention the amountmention the user provided description

The extra pre-written text in the share message is a nice to have. The OpenGraph text implementation though should really be very very easy to implement: http://ogp.me

'Brilliant ideas', but important as well to increase bunq.me adoption among current users and allow people from other banks to experience effortless banking at bunq?

        Hey there!

Thanks for the big and wonderful explanation on how you view the request links! We'll definitely check it out and see what we can do ๐Ÿ˜„

Nice! Just saw the description title and image thumbnail are updated. So much better now, thanks!

              Good morning bunqers!

When using bunq.me to send requests, every request contains the same picture and text ("Send me money with bunq.me").

I'd prefer if bunq would individualise the 'open graph' implementation, e.g. the title should be 'Send money to XXX with bunq.me' orโ€”in case I'm using a link with a predefined amount and referenceโ€”'Pay โ‚ฌ50 for Invoice 123 to Ben with bunq.me'.

Maybe the picture could also show the picture of the recipient or the receiving (currently used) IBAN account.

Looking forward to your suggestions and high-fives. Let's make this feature a lot more usefulโ€”especially for business users!
(Yes, every outgoing invoice from now on contains a ready-to-use bunq.me link, so customers could easily pay with 'SOFORT' with only a few clicks.)

              Thank you! ๐ŸŒˆ

This needs some work, would be amazing to simply share the amount and reason with the link in a whatsapp share. Without it, people don't really understand (or trust!) the bunq.me link.

@bunq is this still on the wishlist?:)

@Koen-Orange-Swan#21726 @koen is a description with a request still on the wishlist?

I can't help you there, I'm not with bunq any more ;)

@Johannes-Pink-Dolphin#114737 Hi Jonathan; the fact that this topic exists means it is on the wishlist. ๐Ÿ™‚

@JeroenE#114752 that doesn't mean that items that were already on it are now all of a sudden gone. ๐Ÿ˜‰ But new ideas and feedback should indeed be submitted to ideas@bunq.com.

@BigBoss#114758 exactly what it says; Koen doesn't work at bunq anymore. ๐Ÿ™‚

@BigBoss#114761 we have indicated this to bunq, we don't know yet why. We also noticed yesterday. Normally bunq employees have both an private and an employee account, but maybe for Koen those were merged (he was a Together admin back then so he had extra power). Another option might be that Koen wrote a ton of Knowledge topics, having those without employee badge is not desirable either, but agree, now it seems to give a wrong impression. ๐Ÿ™‚ (although I am 200% confident that Koen is not "abusing" this). ๐Ÿ™‚

Let's go back on-topic now, and we will make sure bunq looks into the badge. ๐Ÿ˜
