A lot of online (foreign based) shops use the payment processor Shopify, which don’t offer iDeal, Sofort or any of our European online payment methods.
They do offer payment through credit card, so I use my bunq MasterCard.
But every time a online shop uses Shopify to process the payment, I get a confirmation of a successful payment, the transaction is visible in the bunq app.... and moments later, I get an email stating the order “was canceled because we suspect it is fraudulent”, after which the transaction is refunded.
The first time this happened with a company, I mailed them, but they told me it was out of their hands. Okay, I’ll bring my business elsewhere I thought. But a couple of different webshops later it is getting really frustrating and troublesome for me.
So I was wondering who else is noticing this issue?
TLDR; Every webshop using Shopify to process the bunq MasterCard transaction is marked as fraudulent and canceled.
