  • bunq Update 12 features: additional questions

For me this update was underwhelming. Kind of just feels like the bunq experience gets bloated with sorry - useless - features like AI predictions for your balance.

    @Bifi#119752 To be fair, I think that was one of the most requested features since quite some time lol. It’s also why bunqDesktop got extra praise as it had something similar on board.

      Is it just me, or did anyone else expect the balance graph to move automatically as I scroll through the list of transactions? Like if I scroll back in time through transactions, I want to know what my balance was at the point of the transaction say at the top of the list. The scrolling graph would be perfect for this!
      Likewise, if I tap directly on the graph at a particular point in the past, why not scroll the list of transactions to that point and briefly highlight the transaction that brought the balance to that amount?
      Seems like a missed opportunity, but one that could hopefully be remedied with an in-between-bunq-updates-update ;)

        @Bifi#119752 They weren’t the specific features I was hoping for but I genuinely think these updates will be useful every day. Happy with the announcements today 👍

          Is it possible to add extra categories to Insights?

            The opinions will be varied I’m sure, but for me (as a premium user) this update genuinely felt like one of the biggest improvements of bunq so far!

            Apple Pay is something many have been waiting to use ‘officially’ for years, and although the news was out before the update it’s still fantastic it’s here.
            The insights (both the pie and looking forward feature) are absolutely fantastic and are something I was really looking forward to for quite some time.
            And of course bunq is king in even the small quality of life updates, such as the travel assistant, hiding the account balances etc.

            A small suggestion/improvement I already have would be to add certain categories to the insights pie chart. For example, it would be great if insurances would be a specific category.

            Anyway, another great update. Well done!

              @Bifi#119752 just make sure to support your own wishes here on Together and maybe those get added next time. As @LH-Black-Wolf correctly indicated these are features that were requested a lot.

              @Michael-Indigo-Badger-440710752#119765 I would open a separate topic for this idea, so that others can clearly find your suggestion and vote for it more easily. Now it might get lost in the other questions here. 👍

                How can I change the category of bunq Premium? It‘s labeled as „General“ but I think „Finances“ or „Abonnements“ will fit better.

                  "The only way is up" update makes people app crashes 😝 Jokes a side. I think the update was underwhelming as well, but have the question why the automatic receipt scanner is only for companies? I think it's a very cool function which could be very useful.

                    @tmhrzgr#119792 this currently seems impossible. 🤔 But I would also think Subscriptions or Finances would fit better indeed. Let's hope we can categorize our bunq invoices soon as well. 🙂

                      I don't seen to be able to be able to see my partners joint account on my spending categories graph!

                        Nice update with some usefull features. Big the killer feature for real major impact on the market and fast growing user numbers would be national IBAN for each active market.

                          @Sander#119781 Done, I started a new topic 👍🏻

                            Warum gibt es eig. die Kategorie Versicherung nicht? Oder kann man eigene Kategorien erstellen?

                              Hi everyone,

                              We appreciate feedback, but to keep in line with our Community Guidelines, let's keep this thread on topic as a place to ask and help answer questions about the new Update 12 features.

                              Thanks! 🚀

                                I really enjoyed yesterday's update but have a couple of remarks (bugs?) that I'd like to share:
                                1. I've experienced some slight issues when setting up Apple Pay. When I clicked either "Add" or the "+" in Apple Wallet I went into the bunq app, which then brought me to the "request new card" screen rather than the "select card" screen. I eventually managed to work around this by closing the app and closing Apple Wallet and then trying again.
                                2. I'm really keen about the expense categorisation so I started using it straightaway but I have noticed that the reclassification of payments does not have direct feedback for every payment. More specifically: my rent is currently marked as "General" but I have tried (multiple times) to classify it as "Household expense", but the app doesn't seem to process the request as it stays in the "General" category. For other payments (Lowlands festival tokens), which were classified as "Travel", I did manage to change the classification and they did move to my category of preference ("Entertainment"). However, I did have to reclassify all the payments separately.

                                I wonder if you're aware of this and if other people have experienced similar issues?

                                Cheers,
                                Job

                                  @Job#120413 my rent is currently marked as "General"

                                  Did you set that up as a recurring payment? Seems like these still have problems with categorizing.

                                    @Jakob#120418 Yes, indeed.

                                      Bei mir läuft das Update nicht sobald ich in meine Übersicht gehe stürzt die app ab auf meinem Galaxy S10 plus

                                        I have a question or idea:

                                        Possibility to create my own Insights Categories?
