• iOS 11 NFC payments?

I understood that nfc is now open to developers in iOS 11. Can we expect a bunq update to support nfc payments on iPhone with iOS 11?

    Helaas wordt alleen het "lezen" van NFC tags ondersteund, niet het schrijven.Voor NFC payments moet ook schrijven ondersteund worden.

      No. It’s only open for developers to read NFC tags, not for payments. We have to wait until Apple Pay is available in the Netherlands for that.

        Well according to the iOS11 documentation only read is supported.


        For nfc payment you’ll need both read and write if I’m correct


        It would be awesome though to have Apple Pay at bunq

          NFC is only partially available for developers in iOS 11. There are limited reading capabilities but no writing, so creating an own payment solution is not an option.


          We’ll have to wait until Apple Pay is launched in the Netherlands.
