@johannes#132475 They all say pending.
@mdekker#132468 Yes, they told me specifically that 99% of the time the payment is released after 30 days, but sometimes it doesn’t work.
I’m not sure if that was the support person bullshitting me or if Bunq genuinely know there is a problem and are just ignoring it.
I had the same problem with a payment, but in my case support asked the refund after proofing the other party cancelled the payment.
I had similar issue at a hotel when I paid the deposit with travel card. The hotel released the money 10 working days after my departure yet it wasn't the case with bunq as my money gut stuck. I had to ask for the hotel release papers and submitted to bunq. 48hrs later I got my deposit back. So at the end all my money was returned but after a lots of actions on various sides. One would expect these things automatically be done by the system. Instead of me and others running after it. Would be nice if bunq could fix it in the future.
@Lee-Lime-Lynx#132460 Hi Lee, i can feeling with you! This ist not a problem made by bunq ore the TrevelCard, thats a problem by MasterCard. I have the same issue once ore twice a year with Visa. I'm often use fuel stations with self-service and they will block the amount before you can start to gas up. After that the amount you need to spend will be charged. But from time to time there is a litte issue on this way and i need to call my bank.
I agree that this problem must bei solved and offcourse bunq must undo this block If something going wrong. By my bank it needs only one call and than 2 ore 3 hours because thay must interact with Visa...
@Sebastian-kreativmonkey#132525 Interesting, thanks for the feedback. I can honestly say I never had this problem before anywhere else.
I am not talking about a hold being left open after another charge, I know that happens. But I never once had a case where after a month it was still sat in a pending state.
In this case what I find frustrating is that Bunq could manage this issue for us even if the cause is not them. For example - rather than make the user spot the problem and request help why not run a report on transactions still pending >30 days and run a manual process internally to solve it? That would be user friendly.
@Lee-Lime-Lynx#132526 Absolutely, in my case I only noticed what was wrong because my card could no longer be used for payment (because I had reached the limit). But it is really a rarity. With over 300 tank procedures one ore too times. Sometimes something seems to go wrong with blocking and releasing.
Of course it would be great if the Bunq just asks automatically if something happens that is funny, e.g. that it is blocked for more than 30 days. But first you would be helped if they could understand the problem and solve it on request.
@Sebastian-kreativmonkey#132527 Thanks 👍
The reason that I flagged this case is because 100% of my transactions from this merchant are stuck in pending and not returned. It makes me wonder what is the specific cause and if this can help to track down the problem. In this case I think it cannot be attributed to random error but something is clearly wrong.
@Lee-Lime-Lynx#132528 In my case, the amounts have already been debited. There are always 80€ blocked and mostly my tank is full at 20€. Because you couldn't see this in the online banking, I didn't know that there is something blocked without it being released. When I then called the bank, two processes were still open (but which were actually already billed). These transactions were even half a year old. They were both from the same machine where I refuel at least once a week. Should be also only an example, I keep my fingers crossed that your case is solved fast. Please keep us up to date.
Xmm.. this is where traditional banks come handy..
Indeed, it is very odd.
By the way, are you sure if these 30 days are calendar days or business days?
