I'm stuck with an incredibly frustrating experience, hoping someone at Bunq can figure out and fix this issue, for me the travel card is now unusable.
I recently went on a cruise for 20 days and used my travel card. The standard procedure for most cruise lines is to place a hold on your card each day for the amount you spend onboard, they do this to make sure there won't be any issues when you come to the end of your trip. Many hotels do the same for longer stays. At the end of the cruise they then charge you for the full amount.
For some reason (that nobody via support can tell me) the holds that are showing on my account are not being automatically released back to me after 30 days. What's even more annoying - when I say "I have a problem with this payment" in the app I get an option to request a refund (great!) but every time I select this option I get told I will get a response within one day and then nothing happens no matter how long I wait.
Right now I am having to chat with support manually every single day and ask them to refund me. All I keep being told is that 99% of transactions are released OK, but mine aren't for some reason.
This makes the card unusable for me. To be clear:
1 - I have no problem with money being held, but when the Bunq docs clearly state that they will be released after 30 days I expect it to work. Someone should figure out what is going wrong here.
2 - Someone should figure out why the refund requests I am making are getting lost and not acted on. It also seems like support cannot see these requests as each time they are requiring me to open "other" requests each time so they can see the details.
