  • How do yöu deal with the ümlauts in your näme?

My family name has the character "ö" which is how it appears in my passport. My passport also has it written as "oe" in the machine-readable section.

After bunq got my passport details, it decided to spell my name using "oe", which I never do. Whenever a system doesn't support the "ö" character, I just use "o" because it looks most like my family name.

It's really awkward to see my name written with extra letters and I'd like the option to use just "o".

How do you deal with the umlauts/special characters in your name?

    Hi 👋 @Silver-Lynx-3635785388#139803

You should be able to request such change through support. I'm not sure how these requests are handled and what the criteria are but definitely worth a shot.

Hi @Tim#139805 - I'll definitely talk to Support about this 👍
I was just curious what other community members did with their umlauts 🤔

seems bunq has no problem with my middle name "Daniël" it's written correctly in the account info under official name. but yeah, it should be clear what is possible and what not
