What is the current state of this feature? I do not receive push notifications on Apple Pay payments from bunq app, only from wallet. And I'd really prefer to have them from the app instead. I've tried to re-enable all notifications in the app settings but no luck so far. So is this a bug or a feature?

ich hab aktuell das gleiche Problem, die Benachrichtigung aus der Wallet kommt teilweise Stunden später oder gar nicht .

Push Nachrichten bei Apple Pay Zahlungen von bunq wären echt gut.

Push notifications for Apple Pay or Google Pay payments are possible 🙌
You can enable them by going to Profile > Open ⚙️ > Choose Notifications > Payments and then enable them ✅ Then, make sure to disable the notifications from Apple Pay, so you avoid having duplicates.

Once you enable the push notifications for payments, then every time you're making a payment with Apple Pay, you'll receive a notification. If that's not the case, please let our support team know, so they'll further look into it 🙏

I too, would like to receive push notifications from bunq itself when I pay with Apple Pay. Because they are instant, and Apple Wallet notifications aren’t instant most of the times..

FR Hey there FR 👋 Thanks for your question! I've reached out to our team to be able to provide a clear explanation. When you pay with Apple Pay, the notification you receive is actually sent by Apple. This is not a bunq notification. We have disabled bunq notifications when you pay with Apple Pay since in these cases, you would receive 2 notifications each time you tap. So we wanted to avoid any confusion here 🙌

Also note that by default, you cannot disable notifications from Apple Pay 📲

Alice 🇬🇧 🇫🇷 🇭🇺 hi Alice, thank you. In fact it is possible to disable apple pay notification and this can be done per card. Can you please forward that to your team? We would really appreciate the possibility to receive bunq notifications when oaying with apple pay. In iOS if you open the wallet app, click on a card you are able to disable notifications and transaction history for that card. I attached an image to showcase

Indeed, you're able to turn the notifications off, but we're not able to switch these Apple Pay notifications off for our users internally. For this reason, we decided to switch off the bunq notifications to prevent the confusion of receiving double notifications 🙏 I understand that it is possible for users to turn off the Apple Pay notification, however, this process is not straightforward and might cause inconvenience for our less tech-savvy users 🙌 I hope this clarified the situation 🌈
