  • Focusgroup communication

Hi Amber, I like the idea of the focus group, and I commend you in advance for offering your time, energy and expertise to lend help to Bunq for free. But your step further I am not sure. You did a lot already by offering them advice... but in case they ignore your offer, refuse to organize this and show no respect to your call; I can't imagine they will have any appreciation for a report you send them with the results of your own initiative.

    @Bruno-Maroon-Tiger#155981 Because actions speak louder than words. In this time it's easy to dismiss a focus group as a bunch of angry customers. If you prevent a well balanced report (maybe without publicity) you give them time to consider and respond to the content

      @LH-Black-Wolf#155778 „Arroganz“ trifft es irgendwie recht gut.

        @R#155288 Well put René. I've been with Bunq since the very beginning and convinced so many people to join. The past year however I feel like most changes are made only for growth and they've lost perspective on the service they initially provided. I can accept that a new bank, especially an innovative one, will change every now and then. But communication to your (loyal!) customers must remain clear and in the right order: decision > communication > change.

          Goodbye as it also could be:

          Dear More & Free members,

          bunq started as a disruptive bank that’s bringing you the functionality’s that you was missing at your own bank. With the extras bunq brought, banking became as it should be in the 20th century. With your help bunq bank got more and more body and became a real alternative for your traditional bank. But we got even further. We think we are at a point where we can say that bunq can offer you a Premium bank experience as no other! We hope you can agree with us.

          You was there from the beginning, Thanks to our users bunq has become what it is today.

          Just like bunq, the subscriptions models have changed. We have come at a point that the old subscriptions models are no longer fitting with the Premium service that bunq wants to offer to there users. This is why on 31 May 2020 the old More & Free memberships will be discontinued. So this means that your subscriptions will end on this day. We want to offer you three options.

          1. Switch to a Premium subscription and don’t pay until 30 June 2020
          2. Switch to a Travel card subscription and don’t pay for your new Travel card
          3. Cancel you subscription and accept our goodbye drink on 30 June 2020 at the bunq office

          You will see a popup in the app where you can select your choice. We hope that you stay with us and thank you for your support.

            @Ambiebambi#155275 thoughtful idea, I'd be more than happy to join in. So consider me drafted.😀

              @LH-Black-Wolf#155778
              I totally agree. I too are an early adopter and bunq evangelist. They have developed an awesome product that is way ahead of virtually any other bank, both traditional and fin-tech !!! I am on premium (so not affected) and really love all features, including the 25 IBAN’s which I personally find very convenient for budgeting. The price of €7,99 is totally worth it for me. I was really planning to move to a joint with my wife.

              However, the lies, arrogance, the closing of topics and removing of criticism and b***shit marketing made me loose all trust !! The audacity to claim that the users wanted this and use that as an excuse to force unwanted changes, really tipped the scale for me. As you said, bunq is NOT Apple, nor will it ever be.
              They should stick to banking and offer extra’s as an option that you can choose and then pay for.

              Unfortunately I don’t see the proposed focus group having any future positive influence. Bunq has crossed the line so far that they will not listen anymore. This is not the first time and now I believe, will not be the last time either. Altough I was not affected this time, I fear my subscription will be dismantled next.

              I am already looking for alternatives, but it’s not easy finding another bank with full multiple IBAN’s, dual pin cards that can be assigned to a different IBAN on the fly and have online credit cards etc. It really is a great product that bunq developed.

                @Ambiebambi#155729 Hey amber, did you every get an official/inside reaction about your focus group idea?

                  I second @amber

                    @Ambiebambi#155275 Seconded!

                      @Jeremy-Navy-Frog#168837 Sorry @Amber I meant @AmberBambi

                        @Ambiebambi#168736 Well that says something. They really don't care.

                          @Jeremy-Navy-Frog#168839 Geen probleem!
