I totally agree. I too are an early adopter and bunq evangelist. They have developed an awesome product that is way ahead of virtually any other bank, both traditional and fin-tech !!! I am on premium (so not affected) and really love all features, including the 25 IBAN’s which I personally find very convenient for budgeting. The price of €7,99 is totally worth it for me. I was really planning to move to a joint with my wife.
However, the lies, arrogance, the closing of topics and removing of criticism and b***shit marketing made me loose all trust !! The audacity to claim that the users wanted this and use that as an excuse to force unwanted changes, really tipped the scale for me. As you said, bunq is NOT Apple, nor will it ever be.
They should stick to banking and offer extra’s as an option that you can choose and then pay for.
Unfortunately I don’t see the proposed focus group having any future positive influence. Bunq has crossed the line so far that they will not listen anymore. This is not the first time and now I believe, will not be the last time either. Altough I was not affected this time, I fear my subscription will be dismantled next.
I am already looking for alternatives, but it’s not easy finding another bank with full multiple IBAN’s, dual pin cards that can be assigned to a different IBAN on the fly and have online credit cards etc. It really is a great product that bunq developed.
