Please just scrap Pack like you did Joint. Add a €5,- per month package instead. It's fairly obvious €5 is the sweet spot for most.

I shouldn't have to sign up on a forum with strangers to get a decent price for your product. I know the thought behind it is that I would rally my friends, but even then, why would I share a subscription with them? It's very irregular.

Reduce the number of bank accounts to 10 and the number cards if you like. We all know most people won't need all of that.

100% agree with @Lambda-M-Cyan-Jaguar#155953

This forum does not look like "Bank of the Free", more like "Bank of North Korea." with how you people are handling communication.

We made sure to give all our users enough time to take the decision to stay with us as Premium users or not. Legally we are required to do it 60 days in advance, but to give you as much time as possible to think about it, we decided to do it 3 months in advance.

During this period all Free, More and Premium limited users will be able to enjoy all the Premium features at no extra cost and decide whether they want to keep this subscription or switch to Travel which is free. 👍

@bunq#155958 Please stop pretending you're doing us a favor. Are you really that tone-deaf?

        @Lambda-M-Cyan-Jaguar#155953 Gesproken! Helemaal mee eens!

@bunq#155958 So if I don’t use bunq for the next 3 months I will be charged automatically... without my consent... sounds like a legal problem to me.

Can we get a good estimate of the number of people who did the vote or got that survey? It seems that most of the active users on this forum either had not voted for the price increase or did not even get the survey in the first place.

81% is still a percentage, would be easy to achieve if you had only conducted it among employees. What are the real numbers? How many people did actually vote? Would love to see them.

@bunq#155958 You really don't read do you? It is not about the money, it is about the communication and trust. Banking is not like Javascript frameworks... you can't just switch to another one every few months just because of snazzy new shizzle.

Guys, I am not sure why people are choosing to express their frustration by asking "evidence" of a survey, or a "better communication" from Bunq. The survey was a pathetic attempt to justify what they wanted to do, and the question was never conditional to stopping old subscription, so Bunq can never use as an excuse that "the clients agreed to cancel old subscriptions".

The reality is simple, Bunq was not profiting from having Free users. When we consider the costs of providing free accounts, they bleed money. I do understand that premise. However, finding this weak excuse to close this was super irritating. An announcement like: "dear users, unfortunately we cannot provide the free service anymore because it isn't financially sustainable for us" would cause different feelings.

I for one, would consider the time I had free account as a positive, and would actually choose to support the bank due to their honesty. The lie and sugar coating was extremely polarizing and condescending. Like others, I found another bank and initiated overstapservice. The bitter taste is still lingering, and all this won't help in the spread of positive vibes with their brand.

I am one of the very early users. Do you have a plan to support multi currencies? If yes i ll stay as premium.

Helaas vertrouwen is echt nu helemaal weg. Dat is het probleem. Een bank moet betrouwbaar zijn. Punt!

My question/feedback would be whether you considered the current corona situation when you decided to make this change. Besides people having more important and difficult things on their minds than their bank subscription, you can't even go to a physical bank at the moment because they are closed in most of Europe.

I am not affected by this at all, since I’m a paying premium customer. Still the way changes are communicated disappoints me and makes me reconsider using bunq

@bunq#155958 Wow, you are so generous! A whole month extra! Christmas came early this year.

Seriously, I have voiced my complaints in other topics which are either closed or deleted. Lambda M gives a nice summary of his complaints which coincide with mine.

First, your communication style. You're a bank, you handle money. I am an adult and I want to be taken seriously, but instead your emails look like they were sent by De Efteling.

Second, stop lying. According to some mysterious poll a majority desires planting a bunch of trees and more 'convenient' plans. I doubt whether this was a representative poll. I suspect that you already knew the result beforehand, a result that happened to perfectly fit with all these changes that you already had in mind anyway.

Third, unreasonable price increases. I realize that the current fee of 1 euro a month is unsustainable. You're a private company and you need to get your profits somewhere. You can play with my deposits a little bit, but with current interest rates that isn't going to make you anything. So a price increase is understandable. But 800%? Come on.. Especially when you try to impose it on me as if it was something I requested, that is in my personal advantage.

I feel treated like an idiot, and after reading the other contributions to the forum I know I'm not alone. Something seriously went wrong during your last meeting. So answering your initial question: goodbye it is. I will be looking for a bank that doen't see me as a retard.

Please don’t let me down 🥺❤️

The survey really irritates me as well. I filled it out and said, yes, of course more trees would be better. And more clarity about subscriptions would make sense too. Who would possibly say no to that?

This means I'm part of that '81%' but I strongly disagree with the decisions you've made, like many others here.

Simplicity is important, but don't oversimplify and expect everyone to need/want the exact same plan. I added this as a note in the survey too.

I used to be on the Free plan until 9 months ago, when I joined a pack. So far I still don't use many of the premium features. Having 5 accounts and 2 cards would work just fine for me. That's also why I held off on leaving Free before: why pay so much for something that I don't take full advantage of? Is it really that surprising that people are pissed off now?

-edit: Removing my own comment as bunq changed the title of this topic-

                                      @janole#155963

That's exactly what we would like to avoid! For this reason, we will check if all the users that we upgraded have used their account at the end of this trial period. Depending on this, we will freeze their accounts and send them an email letting them know about the situation to avoid any surprise or leave them as premium users.

@bunq#155995 What happens if they have a joint bank account with a different user?
