I just got unbanned now after leaving the negative reviews here on Together right after the changes.
The fact that they changed the plans like that without notice changed my vision of BUNQ.
I also was a fan and a Premium and then Joint user. Had 3 people on my Joint Membership. The changes they have done, saying it was at no cost for the next 3 months was not true as they split the joint (9.99) to 3 Premium accounts (4.99 x 3). Why advertise that everywhere and block people saying it is not true? Don't you remember how many participants did you allow to sign on a Joint Membership? Or maybe your support wiped out every evidence how it happens with this community?
I would have been ok with that if it was really with no additional cost but that just gave me almost no time to disable all the Premium and go to Travel.
Now I'm migrating to another Bank, a more serious one that takes into account the contract that make the users sign to.
I've had a similar issue with Revolut, they also changed plans during time, I was an early adopter, but they NEVER and NEVER took off functionalities of current plans. They took into account the most valuable clients and made it work for them. That's a simple membership, for me I think you made it difficult again, too many options giving us always something we did not ask about, and don't talk me about those surveys, we talk about people bank accounts, it's not a joke and those surveys never asked for a price increase, sorry.
Next step: Disable all accounts, I now have to wait for my credit card from the new bank account first because I need it for booking and rentals. Never plan to use BUNQ again, but if they are not joking about that new Joint Membership I may consider. I say not joking because transparency and communication is not BUNQs forte and now I do not even trust their word.
I have never used Travel Membership before, but let me tell you that really seems a joke, not be able to even get a certain amount of money out... really? I hope that was not the plan, let Joint people go back to travel, find out is too limited and force them to buy premium. (Not related but has this experience just now)
Bank of the FREE. I know "free" means you have the freedom to choose where to invest, and choose what you pay for. Not sure about the second one and I am really sorry for the people that signs up not knowing what they are getting into. New people where you advertise exactly that. From my part friends and family used BUNQ, now 11 accounts have been disabled, 2 others are coming as I will disable mines too. Everyone in my same situation.
At the end, dear BUNQ, I'm from Italy, situation here with the pandemic situation is not easy. A lot of stress and every penny in the account counts as I don't even know if I will have a workplace in a couple of months. Your change was really messed up given the situation. You have done the opposite of every other bank institution or politics, and for that I have to say: Shame to you!
Thank you for this wonderful time and the nicer banking experience, but there are really valid alternatives out there. Really hope you will learn what customer/support experience means, a product is not made just of UX.
PS: You don't even use the push notifications in your application to notify a change of plan like this one... Made me think that was really rushed.. You may need the money but you have to know how to ask for them, anything comes for FREE, not even our money. Respect what FREE stand for you or do not advertise it like you do, is misleading.
