Previously, I wanted to have a joint account with my ex for shared kids costs. She's not a Bunq member, so support advised us to have her sign up with a travel card, and then use Bunq connect to share the account.
We painstakingly moved all standing orders and direct debits to the new Bunq account, only to find out that the travel card cannot be used with "connect".
It does not make sense for her to pay premium for a single account.
Now +1 looks to solve this, BUT how can I add her to the account I created already? The FAQ says I can only add her to an existing joint account...
Does this mean we need to create a new account and then move everything yet again??? It was so much work the last time, we do not want to do it all over again.
And what I'm reading from other people above, is that joint accounts are going away? The message this sends me is that Bunq is unreliable and their plans cannot be trusted to not change again in future. I'm now reluctant to invest time, effort and money into using or stay with Bunq, knowing that it's just a matter of time until my use case no longer suits Bunqs plans.
How can I trust Bunq going forward? If trust is broken, there's no reason to stay in Bunq any longer.
