Hi guys
I don’t use bunq a lot mostly because of the few to top up funds .
Remove this & I can promise more & more people would use your service .
It would most definitely attract the LGBTQI COMMUNITY as the card flamboyant as it is .

@Glenn-Azure-Frog#165267 The fees are only for top ups with card. Top ups with a regular bank transfer are free. Top ups with iDeal, bancontact or Sofort are also free.
Hi 👋 @Glenn-Azure-Frog#165267
It's possible to topup your account for free using SEPA transfers, iDEAL, SOFORT and Bancontact. To be honest any method but SEPA transfer should be seen as emergency methods for topping up your account for immediate use.
Card topups are fee up to €500 with a Premium membership.
Top up with debit cards are charged . In Ireland we don’t have the options you suggest
@Tim#165271 Swap yea but that can take 3/4 days which isn’t good if you need to use the card immediately
@Glenn-Azure-Frog#165275 Sepa I mean
@Glenn-Azure-Frog#165273 Top up with debit cards are charged
But top ups with debit cards are also not free for bunq to do. A fee of 0.5% is comparably cheap.

Honest question because I don't know: Don't you use the Euro in Ireland and are a part of SEPA? You should be able to just make a regular bank transfer then without any additional fees from bunq. Ok have seen your answer now, I wasn't fast enough.

I don't think that's what bunq is going for. The colors are pretty nice, though, that's right. Should be attractive to everyone :)
@Jakob-Y#165278 At the end of the day it’s numbers numbers numbers for these people . A competitor which I won’t mention the name but begins with “ R” launched an PRIDE card last year. Subscriptions went crazy . The couldn’t keep up with demand . I’m thinking drop the fee & advertise your card/service more , sit back & watch the subscriptions increase .
Bunq has offered me 30day upgrade I’m
Loving it ( no fee topping up with debit card ) iL be using card for 30days for everything. When fees return its goodbye from me unfortunately:-(
@Glenn-Azure-Frog#165283 I think bunq is well aware of what Revolut is offering. Sure, they could just copy what every other neobank out there is doing (and in some ways, they are definitely doing that), but then we wouldn't need bunq. If the only differentiation to their competitors would be that cards are rainbow-colored (bunq's color scheme is different from the pride colors btw), we could indeed just use Revolut and be done with it. That's why I think bunq has their features and fees set up differently on purpose.
And, well, that's also why price discussion on here is kind of meaningless. There will always be someone who wants more for less. And that giving more for less will yield more individuals using a service is not news. What bunq always seemed to care about when creating their fee structures is better sustainability, giving less weight on aggressive growth. You may favor this, or you may not. But that's also their approach to product design as far as I can tell.
It's a practical problem in any county that doesn't support sofort or ideal - adding funds instantly is expensive with bunq
@Sander#165878 Not necessarily John
