  • @methetnet-B-V-Blue-Puma#187252 Just going to the Us screen turns me to rage. Inane Instagram photos beamed straight into the app?! Why why why? A load of models in cropped shorts and boaters smiling at a tablet.... I mean, please, life is too short

    • Remember to download all your account statements before closing - the fees for statements from permanently closed accounts are quite high.

      • Less constructive: I'm wondering what it cost to develop the V3 UI. There's not a single thing in the update that is an improvement for me on V2.

More constructive: I'd love the tiles to be screen width, so I can actually read the names!

        • bunq might be better off integrating a third party provider for this

          • A Dutch bank talking about tribes... Time to get an historical consciousness! Haha

            • @Petrus-Olive-Tiger#167205 Of course, there are other solutions. Why has bunq even supposedly launched in the UK at all and geared up to listening to UK customers, if it's just going up stay as it is?

              • @Petrus-Olive-Tiger#167185 N26 in the UK was a failure from the start, imo, because they completely misread the local market. Lack of direct debits at the start was a symptom of that.

                • bunq "launched" in the UK in October, but it's hard to see what that actually meant. No changes for UK users at all, as far as I can see.

                  Quote:
“We’re very excited to launch in the United Kingdom,” says bunq’s founder and CEO Ali Niknam. “In true startup spirit we’re keen to learn how to make life easy for our British users.”

GBP accounts with standing orders and direct debits would be an obvious place to start

                  • It's a practical problem in any county that doesn't support sofort or ideal - adding funds instantly is expensive with bunq

                    • Now the Free tier is no more, I'm weighing up the new costs and benefits of bunq. I can't see anything that will keep me beyond the free promo period.

I'd need GBP faster payments and direct debits as a minimum. I had some hope when bunq supposedly launched in the UK, but that turns out to have meant very little

Debit card payments would be a way to compensate for lack of Sofort etc, but the fees are way too high.

Anyone in the UK actually using bunq as their main account??

The irony is that bunq has sunk quite a lot of money into providing me with their service, and won't get a return now, simply because the services aren't matched to my needs. What exactly is the UK strategy??
