@JeroenE#166248 Might be that now that they changed the prices for credit cards payments via bunq.me and requests that they can start accepting business credit cards soon. Because 0.5% is only realistic with consumer cards, but 2.5% could work for a payment mix with business cards (and maybe even non-EEA cards) included. That would rectify that pricing.

The reason that Bunq has introduced the Business credit card is because business cards attract higher interchange merchant fees (Fees merchants are charged for accepting card) than consumer cards. Consumer card interchange fees are typcially 0.2-0.3% while business card interchange fees can be as high as 1%. It obviously makes a lot of commercial sense for Bunq. Not sure how much of an added benefit it is for the Bunq user however.

Thanks for reaching out. The launch of our new Business Card is to give our Business users a new product as a replacement for the Travel Card. This launch is independent of bunq.me payments, and we are not planning on changing anything with bunq.me at the moment.

For the time being, users with a business card from any bank will need to use a different card in order to pay a bunq.me link. That's why we offer a wide range of colourful cards to all our users, which can be used to pay bunq.me links, including Online cards! 🙌

Dit is sowieso goedkoper voor de ontvanger.

@JeroenE#166641 Daar zal wel een reden voor zijn. Mogelijk om onnodige kosten tegen te gaan, omdat bunq users goedkoper op een andere manier kunnen betalen via bunq.me 🤷‍♂️

Maar de echte reden blijft voor mij ook gissen.
