• Ideas Implemented
  • Sharing requests via Whatsapp is not possible anymore

Hi! 👋🏻

I’m really happy with the new bunq update! Unfortunately I am missing one feature I previously used a lot: requesting payments now only works via the contact menu, and I no longer can share these via WhatsApp or something else. Would really love to have this functionality back!

Cheers! 😀

I agree. This was a bad descision since it’s now actually more of a hassle to request money.

Agree! It took a long time when they finally implemented this, and now they removed it.. How can I request a specific amount with bunq.me in a Facebook group?

Completely agree with this! Even a 'copy link' option would be good enough for me.

If you create a request and choose Multiple recipients, you can click Next without selecting any contact. Then, the option share/copy link appears.

Yep hate this decision too. Before you could create a request and there was not even a need to enter a receiver you could just leave the field for receiver empty create a request and share the link in whichever way you desired. Now you have to sent it via email or sms. SMS... this is so 1999. Really don’t like that they removed that feature. It was one of my favorite features at all. Don’t know why they had to change the „sent money“ design it was perfect before. Please bring back the sharing a link. I know there is bunq.me but it’s not the same.

Agreed, when requesting a specific amount with a group of people in a WhatsApp group, I want to copy a link and paste it in the group. I can’t see how I can do that after the update8 😕

@Arnim-Olive-Eagle#24805 For me Volgende (or Next) is greyed out when no recipients are selected in the Multiple recipients option. (I’m on iOS)

@Jorik-Grey-Kiwi#24809 I am on Android, so it might be a bug in the iOS version

@Jorik-Grey-Kiwi#24809 Same for me. I’m on iOS too.

agreed. I used this feature a lot. Bunq should really consider putting it back imho. This feels like a big downgrade.

@Arnim-Olive-Eagle#24810 Nope not a bug. I just asked the support and they said they removed that feature on purpose to keep the app simple. So there is no way you can do this either on or iOS or Android with the latest update.

Hi, a shame this feature is gone. Bunq.me was already for bunq users so not a spectacular feature for premium bunqers in my opinion. And it is a kind of rip off from paypal. So please give back generate request link 😀

@Arnim#24845 Did you update to the latest version? Support told me the feature is gone. Of course you could just request it to a secondary email adress of your own and then copy the link but this is not the way it’s supposed to work I guess that’s what you did otherwise I don’t see a way how this is possible as of right now. I have iOS and android on neither of those systems you can push the request button and create instantly without further doing a link to share.

I also like to see the links back! Maybe like Mario suggested.👌

@Tobias-Teal-Panther#24849 I am sure I have the new version... I created the link in Dark-mode ;)

@Tobias-Teal-Panther#24849 I click Request, fill in the amount, choose Meerdere ontvangers, didn't select any contact.. just clicked Volgende and the Copy/Share button is there.

@Arnim#24851 Sorry didn’t read your post properly seems missed that lol. But still like I said the support told me the feature is canceled and neither on my iPhone se nor on my galaxy j7 I can create those links anymore. Of course as mentioned before you can work around this by sending a request to yourself and then share that link but this is not bunq that’s bank then lol.

@Arnim#24853 On my devices i cannot click Volgende because it is greyed out.
