• Exploring the amazing bunq V3? Let us know how we can make it even better! (2)

Because of all the reports I decided to update to V3 only on my old iPhone 5S, trusting it would keep the reliable V2 on my normal iPhone the same. Trust does no longer apply to bunq. By activating V3 my Online Cards are all removed from my V2 app. Like non existent but payments still work so they must have also messed with the API too.

Although that is really shit product planning, it probably means that my account has been switched over to a new platform. That may explain the drastic changes they are making and change in attitude. As if there is a completely new team behind all this. Like you would do if the company is being sold.

@Phil-Lord#173801 Was macht denn für dich dieses Update so gut? Was bringt es dir?

Das würde ich echt gerne mal erfahren, was daran besser sein soll als v2.

It looks like the V3 app is missing the functionality to restore archived accounts, I'm sure it's been less than 60 days :)

Gegenfrage, was gefällt dir nicht ?

I face two problems which actually matter to me as I am used to schedule payments from different accounts.
Unfortunately, if I click on an account and navigate all the way to the scheduled payments, first I see all of them and not obly for this account but, additionally, there‘s also no way to see from which account each of them will be made.
The same goes for accepted direct debits although with them I at least can click on it and see which account is.
It‘s super important to really know from which accounts some payments are being made and if I click to add a scheduled payment it‘s not entirely clear from which account it will be taken then. :(

Other than that, I like the „Me“ tab. It could still be made easier to send a payment (e.g. directly through the massive „+“ button - couldn‘t you make it slightly smaller?) and truncating the account names is not good but I still quite like the way it provides a better overview - at least for me. :)
Sure, we can maybe argue about the trees planted (especially if you are not a SG member!) or time saved (I would like to know how you calculated those ) but overall I like that one.

Unfortunately, the „Us“ tab is not my style and the Instafeed could be removed and replaced with Together to provide a tighter integration of the community feeling but at least it would be nice to exchange its position with the „Profile“ tab („Me“ and „Profile“ really belings together logically) and move „bunq.me links“ also to „Profile“ as it fits contextually better.
Other than that the expenses breakdown in categories doesn‘t really fit contextually to „Profile“ and might be better placed to „Me“ (somewhere maybe instead of e.g. trees planted or the time saved). Unfortunately, I also cannot select the accounts for this overview which was quite important to me and I love this breakdown! (Can we have custom categories though?) ;)

Anyhow, after a day of usage, I have to say once you solve the current bugs, bring back some stability and core functionality/usability from V2, and listen to some of the user feedback regarding putting more focus on banking itself again, I believe V3 is really not too bad.
It‘s different and needs getting used to but if UX and reliability gets better (though rather more quickly than slower), I can see potential and how it fits to what bunq (wants to) represent and position itself and the community. :)

Ah and yeah, a dark mode app is really cool in nights but during the day it‘s actually not too easy to read and enjoyable to use for me due to light conditions and reflections.

@tintinhamans#173816 Je kan wel alle rekeningen zien (incl verwijderde rekeningen)
                Profiel > ... > mijn rekeningen

Ik zie alleen niet de functie om deze te heropenen

This update is the worst. It makes everything way more complicated. I hate the ‘van ons’ tab, it’s just full of ads for bunq. Please provide an option for users to revert back to V2

I still cannot believe this, why why why.... UI team that ‘designed’ this should be in jail. Or at least fired. Please revert asap to V2...

@tintinhamans#173816 There’s an Archived Accounts option in the ... menu on the Me tab

@wesselt#173832 Yes, but the option to reopen the account is gone.

@StijnC#173826 This is definitely not the design team. It feels like a Product Owner, Marketing Team or CEO with a wrong vision pushed al their wishes for the app. Without listening to the beta testers and other users.

The app is so bad now, I decided not to upgrade it on my iPhone. Tested it on iPad and I can’t figure out how this passed internal testing. I would have failed this if I was a tester at Bunq.

                              @Jen#173210 🙈🙉🙊

@tintinhamans#173833 It’s there if you click on the archived account, then again the ... menu, then all the way on the bottom it says “Reopen Account”

I don’t like V3 at all and I’m seriously looking at competitors, especially since this is the second fiasco in a very short time. I think bunq is targeting another type of user that is more interested in social stuff and cheesy marketing than features and a truly easy interface (V2). Also it seems that they have issues generating money and are trying to constantly up sell or change memberships to drive people towards spending more money. A lot of criticism is being censored, even if it is constructive.

A lot of what I’ve noticed has been said by others, so I’ll try to keep it short. Let’s talk about the confusing menus. Take a look at the cards screen. You can open a card and then you’ve got two menus: the “+” button and the “...” button. With the first menu you can freeze or block your card, the second menu gives access to all other settings. How is this not confusing? Why split up the settings like this? Sure, I can remember what settings can be found where, but what is the logic behind it? Why not just add a “more” button at the bottom of the most used menu items if you really want to hide them (which I think you shouldn’t)? And I don’t get the “+” sign in the first place. You would think that you can add something with it, but no, it’s just a menu button and it’s always a surprise what’s inside the menu. In the last it was far more logical and discoverable.

A few other things: How am I supposed to discover that I can switch accounts by force touching the profile tab? How can I easily scan my bank accounts if they are in two rows and without the pictures that I’ve previously assigned to them?

There are numerous other issues that I have with the new app, but those are being mentioned in every second comment, so I’ll leave it at this. I really hope that they change things around, because the main reason that keeps me at bunq right now is the hassle of switching bank accounts.

@wesselt#173839 There is no "..." button and the "+" button only allows me to export a statement.

Normally you could see from what bank account the money was transferred but now you don't see anything. You have to click on the back account itself to see if it was that bank account or not.

The app is not really intuitive, the one thing I used very often was the transfer overview. Now I had to search it and before it was just there. When a user has to search for things there is something wrong I think
