@tintinhamans#173833 It’s there if you click on the archived account, then again the ... menu, then all the way on the bottom it says “Reopen Account”
I don’t like V3 at all and I’m seriously looking at competitors, especially since this is the second fiasco in a very short time. I think bunq is targeting another type of user that is more interested in social stuff and cheesy marketing than features and a truly easy interface (V2). Also it seems that they have issues generating money and are trying to constantly up sell or change memberships to drive people towards spending more money. A lot of criticism is being censored, even if it is constructive.
A lot of what I’ve noticed has been said by others, so I’ll try to keep it short. Let’s talk about the confusing menus. Take a look at the cards screen. You can open a card and then you’ve got two menus: the “+” button and the “...” button. With the first menu you can freeze or block your card, the second menu gives access to all other settings. How is this not confusing? Why split up the settings like this? Sure, I can remember what settings can be found where, but what is the logic behind it? Why not just add a “more” button at the bottom of the most used menu items if you really want to hide them (which I think you shouldn’t)? And I don’t get the “+” sign in the first place. You would think that you can add something with it, but no, it’s just a menu button and it’s always a surprise what’s inside the menu. In the last it was far more logical and discoverable.
A few other things: How am I supposed to discover that I can switch accounts by force touching the profile tab? How can I easily scan my bank accounts if they are in two rows and without the pictures that I’ve previously assigned to them?
There are numerous other issues that I have with the new app, but those are being mentioned in every second comment, so I’ll leave it at this. I really hope that they change things around, because the main reason that keeps me at bunq right now is the hassle of switching bank accounts.
@wesselt#173839 There is no "..." button and the "+" button only allows me to export a statement.
Normally you could see from what bank account the money was transferred but now you don't see anything. You have to click on the back account itself to see if it was that bank account or not.
The app is not really intuitive, the one thing I used very often was the transfer overview. Now I had to search it and before it was just there. When a user has to search for things there is something wrong I think
@Tristan-Grey-Tiger#173047 I agree with Tristan, this is a complete disaster, so many functions that have nothing to do with the day to day banking. No easy interface at all, if a product is good, don’t change it. It feels like you were bored during corona times, and just like to mess up a good product.
Fondo chiaro, per favore. Grazie
Btw the online cards are also not showing in the Apple Watch app now. Would be nice to get an updated version there.
@Tristan-Grey-Tiger#173047 Precies dit!
Without judging, but purely observing;
I often read that bunq finds that a large amount of the negative feedback is only sent by a small select group of the same people. I don’t necessarily disagree with this, as it’s pretty common that people only speak up when something is wrong.
However, I hope bunq does realize that this situation is larger than that. People from the ‘silent minority’ are here, are speaking up, and it even reflects in bunqs app rating in the App Store.
In my previous comment I have actually stayed positive about V3, so please don’t see this as criticism. I just hope this is a bit of an eye opener.
Daarnaast een aantal punten;
Is there going to be an option to switch back to the old design? I am way to autistic for such a big change.
@tintinhamans#173851 Right, I am on iOS, so it looks like there's a difference. I have a ... where you have a looking glass. You might raise this with support in a week when they've fixed all the high priority issues and have had a bit of sleep 😂
I have just moved to Bunq, cancelled my other bank account, but I'm seriously considering moving back. I'm definitely not going to use this as my main bank account for at least a few months. The fact that Bunq is fast in adapting changes can be good, but there can be too much of a good thing. And this is it.
Normally I wouldn't write something, because most of it, is already discussed. But since the founder said that "they know very well what their customers want" after delivering this app and seeing all the backlash feels weird. It's like he's saying "I hear what you're saying, but we were still right. We know what you want, better than you!", which seem pretty arrogant if you ask me.
To start off: My accounts should be front and center, not how many money, trees or time I have saved. This is just "borstklopperij" for people. This is marketing, not user interace. I don't want to know how much time I have saved using this app. Nobody ever asked for this, and I don't see how this would ever be relevant using this app.
Then: The + button. From a UI perspective, I don't see how a button in all colors works very well in UI, but if I leave it at that, it's too big and awkwardly positioned. How many time would I want to add a new bank account or something.
When you open this up, you are completely lost. I see a screen and I have to read for (and i timed this) nearly 20 seconds(!!) before I have read everything. This is not a UI! These are marketing Taglines. I want to know in 1 or 2 words where I want to click on.
Also: the plus button stays in the same location, and the same color, which makes it feel like it'll always function the same way. But it has a different interaction in every tab you're in... If it would be on the right top, that's UI which we have gotten used to, right?
The US tab should be optional. I know you guys are trying to do good. But it's just annoying being confronted with it constantly. It also feels like you guys are trying to push people to take this Super Green constantly and it's very annoying. We're all paying customers here, and it feels like there's a constant in-app advertisement here.
The profile tab: Yeah sure, but why is this top bar always showing me that I have completed my profile. this is only relevant for the first 24 hours you create a bunq account? and then it 'll just sit there idle till when you'll delete your bank account (which seems like a more real scenario every hour i'm using this app). These trophies are a waste of valueble UI space.
And why do i have to click AGAIN to see the settings. These are the things I expect when I click on "profile".
Then: The camera... why? I can imagine some people use this a lot. But can't we make this optional. I would never use this tab.
So before I had everything neatly distributed over several tabs, where now I have 2/3 tabs that's just there for nothing.
I know you guys are doing the best you can. But I would give a lot to go back to V2. A friend of mine is a BETA user, he has sent in a lot of this feedback a few times, and never heard back from you. So maybe you guys should first actually listen to the feedback from BETA users and fix those issues they have with it, instead of launching it anyway "because we know very well what our customers like" (-Ali Nikham). I'm sorry, but apparently you don't, and the fact that you keep denying that is not a very nice thing to do to your customers. Your pretending to know better than them.
