  • [FIXED] Bug: Tap & Pay via phone NFC is constantly being disabled after activating

Hi,

I noticed that after updating to V3 app my Tap & Pay (via NFC on phone) was not active anymore. It was activated in the previous version of the app. I've gone to the process again to activate it, but it constantly seems to disable itself. This is an endless process :)

This bug is easy to reproduce:
- Open the app and tap on the Pas tile
- Here you see the Tap & Pay, it seems now activated
- Tap on the Tap & Pay tile
- Tap the back icon (top left)
- Now you notice the word 'Inschakelen' (Activate) on the Tap & Pay tile
- Click on the Tap & Pay tile and go through the process to activate Tap & Pay
- In the overview 'Passen' you now see the 'Inschakelen' is gone and seems to be active.
- Tap on the Tap & Pay tile one more time
- Top the back icon (top left of screen)
- Notice the word 'Inschakelen' (Activate) is back.

What I expect:
I expect to that Tap & Pay kept being active after updating of the app or after activating it once it should be kept activated.

I now just don't know if I can pay in a shop with my phone. For me this is a serious bug, what if I didn't had a physical bank card and the Tap & Pay just doesn't work anymore.

      @Co-Blue-Swan-3843917288#174020 Have the same issue, exactly as you describe it. If you somehow end up wrong in the cycle you'll get a screen telling you you need to charge the tap & pay card when you try to do a contractless phone payment.

        Ik heb deze issue ook, alleen als ik mijn tap and pay wil activeren krijg ik een foutmelding en dat de medewerkers van BUNQ hiervan op de hoogte zijn. Ben niet zo blij met de nieuwe update!

          Heb dit probleem ook, betalen met Tap & Pay levert foutmelding op. Het lijkt niet geactiveerd te kunnen worden. Alles uit zetten en daarna weer aan lost het probleem niet op.

          Dit werkte probleemloos in de vorige versie van de app. Het zou dus niet aan mijn telefoon moeten liggen.

            I am able to activate it to a certain bank account, but when i need to change my bank account it responds with activate tap & pay. I need to reactivate it again. Android 10. No test automation in place?

              I have the same . It is deactivated after one use. You need to activate again. You need to reset the applications because you try to activate immediately after activation

                Además, tampoco permite solicitar una tarjeta física. Es un problema bastante incómodo. En general la nueva V3, con tantos errores, genera desconfianza.

                    I have the same problem. Samsung S20, Android 10.

                    And the menu makes no sense. The 'deactivate' button so prominent.

                        Het begint eigenlijk best irritant te worden. Ik gebruik Tap & Pay voor al mijn kaart betalingen.

                        Kan iemand van bunq bevestigen dat er aan een oplossing wordt gewerkt. Dan weet ik in ieder geval dat het is opgepakt.

                          Ik kan ook niet met m'n telefoon betalen. Tot gisteren geen probleem. Vandaag werkt het niet meer.

                                Het lijkt er op dat het probleem is opgelost in de laatste update. 😀🥳

                                En het betaalkaarten scherm is ook veel mooier en functioneler geworden! Je kan nu veel makkelijker switchen tussen gekoppelde rekeningen en er is ook een betaalknop die snel te vinden is. Ik ben blij!
