  • Exploring the amazing bunq V3? Let us know how we can make it even better! (3)

indeed some of the problem has been solved but i have noticed some irregularities which dont yet function as it used to/supposed to.

1.The accounts backround picture is distorted or missing

2.The account balance written with white characters are very hard to read especially because they are overlayed on a picture.

3.There is no Delete function for the online cards which are assigned to a specific account

4.The order of the cards cannot be modified similar to the main account icons.

5.With the previous platform you could see in realtime the progress of your outstanding balance in time as you were scrolling down, this you can not do it here.

6.Everytime i pay with my phone and i want to pay again i need to exit completely to the main menu and go back otherwise i do no longer have the option to PAY but rather ENABLE TAP AND PAY.

Advice

Although the icons are wider, the picture square size should remain the same and rest remaining space should have the color of our choice.

V3 is a mess. So cluttered.. Thinking of switching to a different online bank.
Also my tree count is back to 0 šŸ˜Ŗ

I tried creating a version of the bunq app (V3.1?) that uses wider cards, and one with images as background. I think it looks better! This isn't far from perfect: icons are missing and maybe somewhere the Pay and Request buttons could be added, but I like the idea of having more space for account names and card info. What do you guys think?

I think I might have an unpopular opinion at this stage, but the latest updates are a big step in the right direction. šŸ‘

Iā€™d really like to see the circles in the ā€œmeā€ tab be more flexible. Why not give us the option to display total balance for example? Iā€™m sure thereā€™s other interesting (and above all relevant) stuff to display there at the users discretion. The US tab has potential, but I feel it would be more valuable with nicely curated ā€œhelpā€ and ā€œadviceā€ content. Not flashy Insta posts.

Light mode isnā€™t quite there yet in terms of look, but great that you already released it to quiet some of the complaints!

        Keep up the good work!

        Rest works pretty well

V2 would launch in less than a Sec and V3 takes about 5-6 secs to load. I am using iPhone11 Pro so itā€™s not my phone that is causing the issue. App updates are expected to at least boost performance, not degrade them at least. This update is indeed very frustrating.

so my comment got removed cause it was "unconstructive", which is literally the last thing it was. Sure I was harsh, but it was full of points of improvement. Here we go again, now a bit nicer not to hurt your feelings.

            • The navigation system in the new app is inconsistent. In the old app I could switch profiles on every screen, but in the new app the bottom navigation vanishes when you click through to your account. You can then only go back with the built-in left arrow on top left of the screen. If I use my phone's navigation to go back, I'm being logged out.
            • The colorful thunder button in the center is now context related which is very confusing to say the least. On the home screen the button allows you to open an account (I don't need more accounts, this can be hidden under settings somewhere) and some other things that are irrelevant to daily payment processes. While when I first click my account and then click the thunder button thingy, it allows me to make payments. This is so confusing? Why does 1 button have multiple context related features?
            • The "van ons" button is not something I need in my main navigation. All information under that button is useless to me, sorry.
            • I used to be able to switch profiles on every screen (I use bunq private and for business) but now with the vanishing bottom navigation this is no longer possible. Whenever the Profile button is on my screen, I still need to tap that, then the 3 dotted nav buttons on top right, then I can switch profiles. But this doesn't work on all screens, as again the dotted navigation on top right is now also context related.
            • The app is a lot slower and randomly freezes on my phone. This is frustrating as well.

            My phone:
            Huawei Honor 10 Lite
            Android 10
            EMUI 10.0.0
            Model HRY-LX1

Can you please make it so that navigation is logical and uniform on all screens?
Can you please make it so that I don't have to think about on what screen I am to guess what might be under the Mystery Meat Navigation -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mystery_meat_navigation?
Can you please make the centralized thunder buttons have the same functionality on every screen?
Can you please make it so that the bottom navigation doesn't vanish on some screens?
Can you please make it so that the stats on how much I saved are moved somewhere very very hidden instead of above my current balance?

Thank you. Keep it up. Sorry for being frustrated.

Please fix this ā€˜logged out but info is visibleā€™ glitch. Not privacy friendly

The frontend is a mess. Really difficult to navigate to something specific, because all the options that are available vary on what page you are on. I liked the previous version much more.

The card icon is really small on android.

I agree that it's very confusing that the menu bar disappears on some screens. I also stepped into the trap of tapping my back button for example on the camera/us/profile tabs, expecting to end up at the me tab. Meaning I closed the app multiple times without wanting to. The me tab should act like the Home screen in the app in my opinion.

Yesterday, bunq released this thread about discovering more functions in V3. This means they even recognize that the app is not intuitive. But instead of improving it they just release a manual? Bunq is supposed to be the bank that makes life easy and saves time. How does V3 make banking easier and faster than V2? I still think it's a big downgrade from the previous experience.
Next to this, the tutorial for adding a receipt is wrong: In the video, they tap on a transaction and then on the flash, and a menu pops up where you have the different options. When I open the app, I just see all options directly on the transaction page without needing the flash. This also illustrates nicely why the flash is leading to an oversimplification of the app. Why introduce an extra button when all the features are right there?

transaction view flash menu my screen
From left to right: tutorial transaction view, tutorial flash menu, my android app (which I updated half an hour ago)
I think this also shows that the grey dark mode looks better than the black dark mode, it's incredibly hard to read stuff and see visual guides on that black background.

Some people say that the latest updates in V3 were a big improvement. I don't see it this way. Small things changed, but the fundamental design choices in V3 are just not right for usability.

I hate this new update. Itā€™s really difficult to navigate. I just tried to make a payment for one of my companies using a QR code but it doesnā€™t let me choose the right account I want to use in a clear and easy way. I had to tap several buttons to find support. This is a downgrade as far as Iā€™m concerned

Nice new Card Design in 14.0.4, finally It looks even better then in v2.
But the Settings behind that are totally inconsistent. Some settings are behind the tree points and some like freezing the card behind the lightning menu...

                            Idea:
Put all these settings on one page when you click on each card including the last payments made by this card.

I appreciate your hard work in repairing the V3 release

                              @Marloes-Blue-Akita#181993
I discovered the same issue half an hour ago. Then I saw that there is already a new version in the Google Play store. That newest version seems to have fixed this.

I think the navigation is terrible, you need to take so many steps to do the most basic things. Also it's hard to know which card you are dealing with as there is no visual representation.

Wanneer wordt de iPad onderhandel genomen. Heb iPad Pro en in V2 prima mee te werken. In de v3 is het geen gezicht. Lijkt wel een iPhone lay-out. De opties van een iPad Pro worden niet gebruikt
