At first, I want to say that I am really passionate about the service bunq has developed over the last few years. 🔥🌈

I am absolutely open-minded for change and innovation (that's one of the reasons I have chosen bunq in the first place) but like with many others, for me, the bunq v3 UI is neither intuitive nor fun to use. 😢

In order to give you constructive feedback, I have worked out my dream version of the app and want to explain it below. Please keep in mind that these mockups are not fully thought out screen designs and should only be seen as an inspiration for further development.

Dashboard

In general, I really like the concept of the bunq v3 "Me" page: Every bunq customer has different needs and therefore wants to see different elements at first glance. 👌

But to enhance this modular experience even further, I would like to be able to customize the entire page layout and implement the three bubbles into the main area. Here are a few examples of what the available elements could be:

• Accounts
• Saving goals
• Slice groups
• Trees saved
• Travel assistant
• Insights
• Utility Widgets
• Custom Add-Ons
• Whatever else you can imagine... 🚀

This would allow users to optimize the app for their needs and could also be a place for new features bunq might want to add in the future. The grid design is inspired by the new widgets in iOS 14 and would, therefore, fit perfectly in the overall design of the app. To reflect the overall function of the page I suggest renaming it to "Home".

Magic Plus Button

In Addition, I would like the magic plus/lighting button to be refined.

At first, I think this button would be way more intuitive if it would have the same functions associated on every page. This could be quick-access features like "Pay", "Request" or "Scan".

Secondly, if we would be able to interact with an element by dragging the button on top of it, the functionality and depth of this object would increase dramatically and we could access complex actions way more quickly and intuitively. Please refer to the link below from the to-do app "Things" as an inspiration.

Mockup Home

In order to keep a clear overview of what happens under the hood of the shiny new "Home" page, I would wish to get the "Events" Page from v2 back. It has always been a perfect way to see both recent activities and planned events at the same time.

Like with many other users, I have absolutely no use for the current layout of the "Us" page. I think this page would be way more practical if you would combine it with the old "Help" page and call it "Together" as the community bunq is surrounded by, is a major plus point for the customer experience.

Last but not least, settings, subscription options, security options, and other personal details could neatly be stored in the profile tab.

Recent updates of the v3 have already made huge improvements and I believe together with the community we can push v3 even further than v2 has ever been. 🚀

Ik kan me ook in de meeste opmerkingen vinden. Alleen ben ik juist groot fan van de multifunctionele actieknop. Die op elke pagina staat, maar de functies zijn aangepast naar die pagina. Dus liever niet dat die overal hetzelfde doet. Je hebt juist op elke pagina behoefte aan andere acties en deze knop voorziet daar heel goed in. Voor mij juist heel intuïtief.

Ben wel benieuwd naar je opmerking over het slepen van die knop. Is dt juist niet meer werk dan er alleen op klikken?

Algemene opmerking. Ik lees terug dat mensen moeite hebben met dingen vinden. Dat snap ik niet zo. Ja het is anders dan in V2. Maar het is wel gewoon logisch geplaatst allemaal. Behalve bunq.me. Wat diet Dat op de us tab.....

En uiteraard vind ook ik de us tab zoals hij nu is nutteloos en zie ik daar meer een together / support pagina in.

Move the bunq.me links from the US tab, it does not make sense to be there.
Get rid of the 3 circles. It's taking up 1/4 of my usable space.
Make the sub-accounts single-column instead of double. And then move the account photo next to the name instead of behind it.

Wat is die nieuwe app ruk zeg. Kan er niets meer in terugvinden, zoals bunq.me links, foto toevoegen aan een rekening uit een galerij kan niet meer. Zoals al eerder te lezen hier, de status over een aantal bomen, geld en tijd bespaard, dat maakt mij niet uit. Zet er wat nuttigs neer ipv dit.

@Johan#181566 Those terms and fees are subject to quite a lot of changes. And then there's the subscription tiers; as an early customer i've been switched several times by now, where other companies would grandfather existing plans for user convenience and fairness. Every change (announced or unannounced) I'd had to dive into the 'small letters' again, and still got screwed over when i missed the introduction of a new type of fee.

I used to recommend BUNQ to my friends, now whenever somebody mentions BUNQ i jump and hide behind my 0 trees planted!

What a messssss. Wow, I've rarely used such an user unfriendly app. Also you billed me for a Sepa payment (free) without offering me the chance to even cancel such a payment done by yourselves without my consent.
Now you're also going to charge me a monthly fee?

I'm sorry to you've decided to implement such customer unfriendly changes for the "free" !!

we are not going to lie, we are not enjoying the V3

Ik had nog de hoop dat de bomen zouden verdwijnen, maar na het lezen van dit artikel (die 3 weken geleden gepubliceerd had moeten worden), concludeer ik dat bunq ons werkelijk bomen wil laten planten en dat het aantal bomen bewust zo ‘in your face’ wordt gepresenteerd en zal blijven. Jammer!!

When tapping on a card there is a lot of empty space below the connected account and cvc would it be possible to move the settings from the (•••) menu there? It would make it faster and it would look nicer because the empty area would be used.

Get rid of money saved, amount of trees and time saved. I can't imagine that's a ux decision... Seems like a top down decision to push an agenda.

Absolutely HATE the new update. Please please please revert it back to the previous version. Cannot find anything with the new interface, totally counter intuitive! I can’t believe I am paying 7.99 a month now for this utter misery. Why on earth did do this Bunq?!
What an absolutely let down. I was so happy with this app. Now I guess I will have to find an alternative bank.
