Improve and fix how to find open shared payment requests
TTimProdigy
Hi 👋 @Co-Blue-Swan-3843917288#185445
A feature like this was introduced 2 updates ago. You can find it under Me > Tap an account > Tap the left ring. It will show the amount of open requests, and after opening this you can also view paid requests in a second tab.

@Tim#185455 Wow, this is just great..thank you for noticing.
I just tried it and for me it doesn't show anything in both colums inside the total payment requests ring.
What I did:
- Create a shared request via a link where the payment goes to account X
- In the Me tab > tap account X > Tap left ring
- In column 'In afwachting' or 'Ontvangen' nothing shows while I just created the shared request (which isn't payed yet)
- It also doesn't show the already - still open - shared payment requests for account X where I've received payments on.
Feels like this is a new bug where the funtionality is broken.
Do you experience the same @Tim or @pbruins84 ?
Next to this great new feature, it remains that there is no big overview of all open payment requests from all accounts. With 25 accounts it takes quite some effort to tap inside each of the account to see if the shared payment request is payed and can be manually closed.

It seems the feature works different then I expected. It only works if you Request to another bunq user, at least not by using the 'share link' functionality. Could be because they don't know how many people are going to pay thus not knowing the total amount requested.

@Tim#185488 Thank you for testing!
I understand that with a shared link request you don't know the total amount or payments although it would fit in between the two tabs from the circle 'Total payment requests'.
But then again I think (at least here in Holland) this is the most used feature of each bankapp (like Tikkie, ING). Not having these shared link requests wel organized is really inconvenient and I'm already starting to create these at my old bank again (ING) where they have a very well organised process for this. But I really want to do this from inside the bunq app of course :)
It would be great to have more people to use bunq so I could make use of this circle 'Total payment requests' overview, but then again reality is that most of the time you share a link with somebody you don't know which bank he/she has. For almost all of my shared link requests this is the use case.
How can we make bunq more aware of this?

@Co-Blue-Swan-3843917288#185493 Not only in Holland. I think it's the same in the rest of The Netherlands. But how do they show it an ING for example when you send a request to multiple people? How do they show the total amount? Do you have to enter the number of people?

You'll have an overview of all shared payment requests. When you tap a payment request you see the total amount of money came in for this payment request with the bank accounts where it came from.
Since with a shared payment request it is always unknown the number of people can pay via this link it is just a matter of summing up all incoming payments and there you have the total amount shown.
I maybe now understand that it gets more difficult if you want to create a payment request via a link and set somehow the total amount of money it should raise from specific bank accounts until it reaches this. Like with splitting a bill for example.
Is this the way bunq implemented this for bunq accounts? I cannot test it since I don't know who is using bunq from people around me.
For shared payment links to other banks I would say keep it simple:
- create a link for certain amount of money with fixed description
- in the overview you see how many times = how much money it raised
- you manually close it yourself (or after 30 days)
- optional to make a note or a amount you expect to raise with the link.
With this you could maybe integrate it in the current circle overview 'Open payment requests'.

Regarding the last post. I more or less got the feeling that this is done with bunq slices. But perhaps I’m totally wrong here.

@Andreas-Turquoise-Akita#185582 Slices, never could use it since I don't have anyone using bunq that I know of. I thought this is used to keep track of who has paid what amount of money in a group of people who have bunq.
