Someone needs to transfer me money from a US bank but their bank is asking for a router number. Does my account have that? And where could I find it? Thank you!
Router number

@Maria-Magenta-Puma#218484 A routing number is what Americans call a bank code. In the EU and other states we don't really use national bank codes anymore because of SEPA, and in the Netherlands I don't think they even existed before. Anyway, to make it short: your bunq account, and any other Dutch bank account for that matter, only has an IBAN and a BIC. That should be enough to transfer money from any country.
However, be aware of the fact that bunq only deals in Euros. Even if you send money from the US through the SWIFT network, it still has to reach bunq in the correct currency. If the sending bank doesn't account for this fact, the transfer won't succeed. Also SWIFT is slow and expensive. Even when it works, keep in mind you'll be waiting a few business days for money and there'll be extra fees.
Personally I recommend my friends from the US to send me money through Wise. Hasn't failed me yet and I never paid a dime. So if that's a possibility in your case, I would look into that. Otherwise, check the articles about how to find your IBAN and about BIC/SWIFT code. There's also one with some more info about transfers from outside SEPA (like the US).
Thank you very much Jakob!
