  • Add another person to shared account

Hey!
Iโ€˜m trying to add another person to my shared account, but I canโ€™t find a setting for that anywhere.
Can you help, please?
Thank you :)

It's not possible to add extra people on an existing shared account. You will have to create a new group-account in order to have a shared account with the current and new person.

Same goes for deleting a specific person, it can only be achieved by fully ending the account. Adding a connect to a shared is also not possible, but it can be achieved by having a personal account and giving the other 2 (or more) full access to that account through connect. Only if this will suffice in your situation of course.

They have chosen to work this way to have the same liability risks/responsibility for all owners equally during the time the account is active. Usually (with other banks) liability risks/responsibility are for the 'current owner', that goes for all things that happened before and/or after with that specific account. This is not always a pleasant idea. ๐Ÿ˜…

As other people said, newly created 'group accounts' are actually joint accounts (en/of rekening in Dutch) where all participants are legal owners.

Another way to do it is to create a regular account, and use Connect to grant people access to that account. That way you can add or remove people at will, but you are always the legal owner of the account:
