I'm looking for a way to accomplish the following using bunq.me:

There is a customer who missed a few payments. I would normally send someone a link like bunq.me/myname/750/HelloWorld to have them pay 750. But in this case the total amount is much higher, and there is a good chance this customer isn't going to be able to pay in one installment. If I use bunq.me/myname, they are sent to a page where nothing is prefilled. If I use any suggestion for the amount, it immediately becomes fixed. Is there an additional parameter that makes the amount editable (but NOT the description)? If you use the descriptive message, bunq.me/myname/HelloWorld, the description is filled and the amount is 0.00 while both are editable.

Note: I am aware that one can always edit the URL, but in this case it is about how to get the customer to pay. And that is done by making things as easy and simple as possible, so just a URL where the description is fixed AND the amount is prefilled/suggested would be great.

Anyone?

I'm using the URL to generate a QR code that I can print on the invoice, so that the customer should have no trouble (technically in any way) to pay the bill.. :) Not sure if it's relevant, but I'm also using a personal account and bunq.me page for this. (Maybe there is a difference between personal and business.)

@RalphXD#230087 Is there an additional parameter that makes the amount editable (but NOT the description)?

No. If you use the "bunq.me/myname/750/HelloWorld"-style links, then these values aren't fixed and can always be changed. The alternative is generating a payment request and sending the corresponding link to the customer, but then the amount and the description are both fixed.

If you're quite tech savvy you could make a website that allows your customer to input the amount of money that they want to pay, create a payment request according to that with your description of choice on the fly through the API, and then immediately redirect the customer to that request.

Maybe there is a difference between personal and business.

There's no difference in regards to these features.

Nope, not true.. Using this URL (bunq.me/myname/750/HelloWorld), you get a page stating how much to pay (can't be changed, at least not using Edge browser) and it doesn't even show the description but goes right ahead to payment methods.

@RalphXD#230125 What is not true? You can just click on "Back" and change both amount and description. There's apparently a bug where the amount that is shown on the top does not change, but if you go on to the payment after changing the initial amount, it will be the changed amount. (I also tested this in Edge for you, behaves the same as in other browsers.)

But ok, even if we assume that the amount cannot be changed, doesn't really change much about your situation. I guess if you don't want / can't go for the "create payment request through API" solution, then maybe sending a link like https://bunq.me/myname/HelloWorld with just the description included might be your best bet. At least then it's obvious for the user that they can set the amount. And tell them to not change the description.

@Jakob-Y#230126 And has this bug been brought to the dev’s attention?

              a year later

where can i find the possible paramaters that can be added to a bunq.me link?

@RalphXD#230088 hi Ralph. How did you manage to create the QR Code? Using the app directly? And your customers can use the QR code to pay from whatever their bank ?

@Daniel-Orange-Llama-848347982#285746 There are lots of URL > QR generators online (like qr.io), so you could either put in your bunq.me link (you can add parameters like amount and description), or you can send a specific amount request in the app and put that request URL into a QR generator to get a code to share. Heres one i just made with my bunq.me page

@RalphXD If you the info in but not a fixed amount you can try:
                    bunq.me/myname/INV2024-180_open-€911
