Hi there! I was wondering if there is an update with opening UK accounts? Bunq announced around a year ago they were waiting for confirmation from the Bank of England to continue operating in the UK after Brexit and were pausing most operations. Is that still the case, or has Bunq withdrawn from the UK completely? It’d be nice to switch to a UK bunq account as my current UK bank’s app isn’t that good.

@JOAS#245826 As of now, bunq does not allow opening new accounts for customers from the UK. The latest information is the one that you have already received.
If you reside in the EU/EEA and you're on the Easy Money or Easy Green plan, then you can open up a GBP local currency account that also includes a sort code etc. for domestic UK payments.
