Where can you find IBAN no,? app is not so user friendly
@magic#247436 Hey π,
you can see the IBAN of every account by selecting the account you want to know the IBAN in the home Tab. The IBAN can then be found on the top aligned.
π Hereβs some knowledge about IBAN:
https://together.bunq.com/d/2880
@pqckmqn#247437 It doesn't show sub account on home screen π
@magic#247438 There should be at least one account on your Home Tab in the App.
@pqckmqn#247439 It just shows card details but no icon of sub account
@magic#247440 I got it but it in main but shows NL IBAN by default, how to get the local IBAN as DE?
@magic#247441 Your account has a Dutch IBAN, not a German IBAN. All IBANs work the same, so you can use your Dutch IBAN without any issue.
If you want a German IBAN, you can open an account with a DE IBAN via Home > More (bottom right corner) > Open sub account > Local IBAN
@magic#247441 Hey π
If you are a German resident, every new (sub)account you create, should have a DE iban. If not, you can open a subaccount with a π©πͺ Iban in your Hometab by following these steps:
On Android devices:
Go to Home tab
Tap on ... (More)
Click on Add a Sub-Account
Select Local IBAN
Click on βGet a Local IBANβ
Choose your new IBAN
On iOS:
Go to Home tab
Tap on ... (More)
Click on Add a Sub-Account
Select Bank like a Local
Select πͺπΊ
Select π©πͺ
π Hereβs some more knowledge about it:

@thijsoost#247442 Not sure why by default it picked up Dutch IBAN, in Germany, you can't pay for anything or recieve salary if your don't have DE IBAN
@magic#247446 Oh really? That's weird. Yes, if you live in Germany, your IBANs should be German by default. But no problem! You can just create new accounts with DE IBANs.
@thijsoost#247447 More weird is that when i try to create sub account it again creates in NL only, Also when I click on another option which say get local IBAN it gives me just 4 countries to choose from and in that list Germany is again missing
@magic#247449 That must be a bug then. Is your address set in the bunq app also in Germany? Maybe you can contact bunq support so they can help you out
@thijsoost#247450 Yes address is set as Germany and the phone no. Is also German
@magic#247452 I already paid 3 euros to open the account, otherwise I would've closed it and open the account again, i need the DE IBAN
@magic#247446 As a German living in Germany, I'm using the NL IBAN for nearly 3 years now for everything: salary, gym, utilities, rent, insurance, authorities, taxes etc. -- it's not a problem at all. So your blanket statement might be a bit too... blanket. That said, of course you can just use the DE IBAN that bunq is offering you. I've not seen a reason to do so until now, and the NL is shorter and easier to memorize :D
@Jakob-Y#247457 It's not Blanket statement, i went to the O2 shop to get postpaid connection, there system doesn't take the IBAN other den DE, so one cannot take Postpaid Mobile connection, my company cannot transfer a salary if i do not have DE IBAN no. But again problem here is the bug in the app, what I suppose to get is DE IBAN considering all my details are in German, address, rental agreement, Visa....so not sure how I can resolve that!!
@magic#247460 o2 is breaking the law unfortunately. Just one of the reasons I'm not with them. But yeah, you said "you can't pay for anything or receive salary" -- if that would even be half true, then me being alive now after 3 years would be quite the feat. That's why it's a blanket statement in my opinion. In any case, it's not an issue at bunq because you can just get a DE IBAN.
@magic#247460 As I said, the best you can do is contact bunq support if you're not able to open a German IBAN.
@Jakob-Y#247461 My Dear Jakob, unfortunately it seems your half truth is my full truth, many places they have Machines which take a card payment only from German bank account, some places only take cash and some places take other banks like train ticket or some backeries but truth be told that you never know when surprise hits you that any establishment only takes German card so it's always a hastle , having a German bank account avoids that emabarrasmen t!!
@thijsoost#247463 Yeah that's what I did, thanks anyways for help
