  • [REPORTED] You cannot set up an Auto Save without another Sub-Account

Hello,

I am new to bunq and need some help. I created a shared bank account for me and my wife. Also I created a shared savings account. Now we both wanted to activated the 'automatic savings' for the payments on our bank account to the savings account.

For me it works perfectly fine but my wife cannot acitvate it. She accepted the invitation for shared bank & savings account, has access to both accounts but when she tries to activated the savings functions she gets an error message 'you cannot set uo auto save without another sub-account' dies that mean she has to open a sub-account (she wouldnt even use) to then set up auto save for our shared account? Or is this some strange errornin the app?

Thanks for your help!

    @New-Chestnut-Cow-1927632744#248160 You have two separate accounts? One shared account, and a shared savings account? Maybe it doesn't work because bunq doesn't recognise the shared account because you were the one who created it. So in order to use automatic savings, a payment must be made from account A, so the rest can be transferred to account B (savings account). What plan is she using? If she's using Easy Green or Easy Money, she can easily create a sub account.

      @thijsoost#248161 Yes it is two separate accounts, one for our regular banking and one savings account. I created both and shared with her. She can access and use bit. The only thing that does not work is activating the auto-save functions...as we are still in the trial period she is now on easy money, but we are thinking about reducing her account to easy bank as she does not really need sub-accounts, so I am not sure if we should create one then...

        @New-Chestnut-Cow-1927632744#248164 If she's now using the trial, she can create a sub account to see if that solves the issue? Than you know the cause for it not working

          @thijsoost#248165 And we could then just close and return to Easy Bank after the trial?

            @New-Chestnut-Cow-1927632744#248167 Yes you can just close the account after you tried it. But then the issue probably returns, but then at least you know the cause of the issue.

            But even then, I'm not sure why that would be the cause, maybe someone else knows! Otherwise I would recommend contacting bunq support about this

              @New-Chestnut-Cow-1927632744#248160 Hi Patrick,

              If you have a Joint account, and a shared Saving Account, why do you need to enable the Auto Saving twice?

              When any of you make a payment, the money will be deducted from the Joint Account and the Auto-Save will send the rounded amount to the Savings account, independently on who made the payment.

                @bunqVitaly#248182 Hi Vitaly,

                Unfotunately it does not. I thought so too and for my payments it works. Now my wife made her first payments and nothing was booke to savings for these.
