Lost your phone or had it stolen? It can happen to anyone. Follow the steps below and protect your bunq account until you find it/get another phone:
Login from a new device
Make sure to install and login to your bunq account on a new device as fast as possible, so that you can secure it right away and make it impossible for anyone else to reach your account.
In case your login info got changed and you can’t log back in, make sure to contact SOS Support for further assistance.
Disconnect your old device
Once you have full access to your account, the first thing to do is to remove the lost/stolen device so no one can access your account through it. Just follow these easy steps:
- Go to the 'Profile' tab
- Select ⚙️
- Click on Security & Preferences
- Select Devices
- Click on the 🗑 next to every unrecognized device
Change your security code
In order to keep your account extra secure, make sure to also change your security code following these simple steps:
- Go to the 'Profile' tab
- Select ⚙️ Settings
- Click on Security
- Select Change security code
- Follow the flow
Change your login credentials
Right after, make sure to change your login email by following the easy and fast steps explained here.
Pro Tip: Make sure to also secure all of your other social platforms and accounts linked to your account by changing your login credentials. This way whoever has your device won’t be able to access any of your personal data 🙌
