  • Savings account: how to receive money?

I just created a Savings account and it was my first with bunq. As I just created it, there are some features that come with my free test of Easy Green. So I can’t know which of the features will be there on the long run—namely, which features are from Green and which are from Savings. This makes things confusing.

For example, do I have and IBAN to transfer money? If not, how can I transfer money to this account reliably and (preferably) free? There aren’t many informations around.

Thank you!

    HI 🙌,
    any sub account you create will have its own IBAN number to receive transfer from anyone. Bare in mind that all IBANs are visible and available for use only once your bunq account is fully enabled (passed all bunq verification and security/compliance checks).

    If you need to take a look at all the features for each of the plan you will want to choose after the initial free test period, please check the bunq page.. I advise to use a browser rather than a phone... easier to have the full picture:
    🌈 https://www.bunq.com/benefits

    You can expand for each features block, the complete details and at the very bottom of the page there is a link to the official price list.

    If you want to browse the FAQ articles, I would access Together (this community) directly from a browser where you can also search and article can be browsed by argument (🌈 https://together.bunq.com)
    Have a great day ☀️

      @Gianguig#255516 Thanks for the quick reply!

      So the feature to go
      Add Money > Bank Transfer (SEPA)
      will stay after my free trial ends?

        @New-Ivory-Elephant-3907212896#255517
        Yes,
        but make sure to check which plan you choose after the trial ends as you might incur in additional fee if during the trial period you created for example more sub accounts than the number your future plan will allow. Anything over the plan's limit are considered as "a la carte" items which could be more expensive than using the appropriate plan.

        Example:
        You are on an Easy Green trial now and order 3 cards and created 14 sub accounts
        When you confirm after a month your plan and choose for example Easy Bank, the additional sub account and Cards you have already ordered will be charged separately on top of the Easy Bank account. Just to avoid surprises with the first invoice you get.
        I hope this is useful 🙏

          @Gianguig#255520 Yes, I must take a look at that! If I may ask one more question… right now I have a total and a main sub account? That’s the normal quantity for Savings right?

            @New-Ivory-Elephant-3907212896#255521
            No problem .. this is the right place to ask general features questions and "How to" ✅
            Remember this is a public forum so never share personal information (financial pal and not).

            The "Total" s not really a sub account (in fact it does not get an IBAN number), but a view of all that happened in your bunq account. From Total you can see at glance what happened on all your sub accounts.

            So yes, One sub account (which you call main) and the Total view are in the range for Easy Saving plan.
            Take a close look at the plan though.. there is a strict limit of the number of withdrawals (3) per month... so this free plan is ideal for a back up saving plan but definitely not sufficient (in my view) for normal banking activities as there limit on withdrawals and if you need a card, that would be charged a la cart.
            My thought on best initial banking account at bunq is the Easy Bank.. which costs 2,99 Euro a month.. but decision is yours based on your needs.
            Regards

              6 months later

              Hi! I made the same account and deposited funds, but I want to know if the interest is accumulated daily or monthly (no matter the payment) as I would like to take them for 15 days only each month. And is there a way to know how much we are generating?
              Thank you!

                @New-Turquoise-Bison-798342202#274358 It's calculated daily, and you get a payout monthly. So let's say the month has 30 days, and for the first 15 days you have 10.000 Euros on your account, then for the last 15 days you have 0 Euros on your account, you will get this much interest (personal savings account):

                ((10.000 * 15) + (0 * 15)) / 30 * 0.0131 / 12 = 5.45 Euro
