I cant use google wallet

    @Gianguig#258538 How does this help I need a verification code.... just look at the picture smh

      @Godmiggy#258565 Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹,
      I reported the document as there are conditions on where you can use Google Pay (like the country you registered your account in). From your messages I did not get to know that. So if you check the document you will find out.

      If all is in place you might want to try to delete the bunq App from your device and re install it fresh from the Google App Store.

      If still does not work, I would open a request with bunq support via the in App feature:
      ๐ŸŒˆ https://together.bunq.com/d/1038-how-can-i-contact-bunq

      Good luck ๐Ÿ€
      GG

        @Godmiggy#258565 You need to follow a different flow/adjust settings. If youโ€˜re being asked for this verification code like in your screenshot then you wonโ€˜t be able to continue. Thatโ€˜s why GG linked you the instructions. Make sure to follow them and it should work ๐Ÿ‘

            @Godmiggy#258565 Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹,
            I am not an Android user and I found this on another tread:

            You can solve the issue by following these steps:
            1 Open the settings of your phone
            2 Go to "Apps & notifications" and tap "See all (...) apps"
            3 Open Google Pay
            4 Tap "Force stop"
            5 Open "Storage & cache" and tap "Clear cache" and "Clear storage"
            6 Reboot your phone
            7 Open the Play Store, find Google Pay and check for updates and install themโ€จAfter that you can try again from the bunq app to add your card to Google Pay.

            Also you need to make sure that in your profile the phone number indicated is correct and it is the one for the device you use. It can be changed from the App.

            Regards
            GG

              @Jakob-Y#258570 It's like I have a BlackBerry again smh

                @Godmiggy#258630 Indeed Android NFC settings and how everything is set up is a big mess in my opinion. Some handheld vendors do it better than other, but ultimately even on Pixel devices it's not always as smooth of a UX as you'd want it to be. Here in Europe where we mostly only use EMV technology, it's still comparably sane. But just the existence of settings screens like for example described here in the article: https://xianyou.wordpress.com/2020/03/15/xiaomi-redmi-note-8-mi-9-miui-based-phones-google-pay-nfc-configuration/ That's really laughable. No normal user would ever know what a "Secure element position" means and how changing between "embedded secure element" and "HCE wallet" or "SIM wallet" would affect their NFC usage. (I know that isn't the issue here in your case, but I think it's exemplary for the whole process.)

                And in a few years we will have the same stuff on iOS probably because legislation has to "protect" us users... well let's see :D

                  Hello,

                  Luckily this is a very simple process. If you get this message then you have either not filled in your mobile phone number in your profile or you didn't fill in it when you were trying to add the card.

                  First delete the payment method from the Google wallet, so it doesn't keep going wrong.

                  Then make sure that your bunq profile has your mobile phone number and once you add the card to the Google wallet make sure to also give up your mobile phone number. If both are correct and the same you will be send a text message to verify your identity.

                  Hope this helps

                    @New-Teal-Lion-4212168020#258667 I had the same problem and I followed your steps and it worked, !!

                      4 months later

                      I still got this issue, after my Wear OS got an update, where Google Pay was
                      replaced with Google Wallet.

                      Adding my card to my phone works perfectly,. However adding it to my Wear OS smartwatch, results in "Call your bank"

                      I have tried everything, manually adding my card to phone wallet, add it from the bunq app, no difference. Also checked that my phonenumber in the Bunq app is equal to the phonenumber in the Google Wallet app.

                      I requested support from Bunq, but apparently this is a know issue....

                        @New-Burgundy-Giraffe-762795001#274002 Looks like bunq doesn't support Wear OS? Or did it work in the past?

                          4 days later

                          I have the same isue... I already had a card added from bunq to my galaxy smartwatch. but with my new Mastercard i have the same problem...

                            @thijsoost#274006 yes, it worked before. Then I installed an update (google pay to google wallet), and since then I need to make a call for the verification code.

                              a month later

                              Same problem here, I had google pay before on my Samsung Galaxy Watch together with Samsung S10+, which worked. Now I bought myself a Samsung Galaxy S23 and had to reconfigure stuff, reset watch and reconnect. Bunq and Google Wallet on my phone works, but adding to my watch keeps saying that I should "Call my bank", in dutch.

                              I tried everything on this forum. Resetting, clearing cache, rebooting, automaticly adding, manually, but the result is the same.

                                a month later

                                Ist there a solution for adding cards to WearOS. I cant add my Card to my Pixel Watch

                                  5 months later

                                  Same here. It keeps saying, it is waiting for a SMS, which never arrives.
                                  After going back and forth with bunq support for days, they told me, that they don't support Google Wallet on Wear OS.
                                  That's a shame for a bank which pretends to be so modern.
