Refund long wait time

Hello,

I’m currently waiting for 2 refunds one from Zara after returning some clothes and a deposit after renting a car in Lithuania.

Both merchants have made the payments back as they claim but bubq is inviting me to wait more.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

I would be less frustrated about this process but a friend of mine is in the exact same situation and he’s refund was solved instantly.

I’m trying to figure out why my situation is different and if there’s something else I should do.

MIHAILESCO Payments are always back in my account within 2 business days after a merchant refunded it.

Creditcard deposits can take 30 days until they're back on your account.

If you already contacted bunq support, there's nothing else you can do but wait.

Thijs Good to hear that my friend got his deposit back in a few minutes after requesting a refund.

And the other return it was not a deposit, should have been back in a few days.

Maybe it’s related with the fact that my card is not linked to the main account but to a virtual card.. 🤷🏼‍♂️

MIHAILESCO You can't connect a card to another card. You mean that you used a Digicard instead of a physical Mastercard? For online payments it doesn't matter which one you use, they're both Mastercards.

If a deposit on your creditcard isn't released by the company, bunq releases it automatically after 30 days.

MIHAILESCO I once had a refund I couldn't see on the app. Support told me to export my bank statement and it was visible. Could this be the same for you ?

I reported a fraudulent payment almost a week ago and haven't got any update nor refund. Why is this service called "TOGETHER" if we costumers are gonna be left alone in the dark?
