  • [Suggestion] Recurring payments

I like to use bunq, I am missing 2 functions that would make my life better:

  • Ultimato: That mean that recurring payments are executed on the last day of the month. Currently, payments created for the 31st of a month are executed second on the 30th of the next month.
  • I use recurring payments to distribute incoming money to other accounts each month. It would be very handy to get a preview (sum of all payments at a key date, maybe fixed "end of the month").

Thanks!

    Hey there, @ternes3#279069 👋
When you schedule a payment on the 31st of May, for example, the payment then will take place today on the 30th of June, since it's the last day of the month. Next month, it will take place on the 31st of July again. So whenever the payment can't be sent on the 31st of a given month, due to having less days, it will take place on its last day. I hope I’ve informed you sufficiently on this.
In regard to the overview of all scheduled payments, it's actually a great idea! Let's gauge the interest of our fellow bunq users and determine if they share the same level of excitement for such a feature. Together, we can make a life easier for even more users! 🙌

@DrCooper#279074 Hi Sheldon, thanks for your hint! You are absolutely right, I was wrong and looked at the wrong payments. The ones that are created on the 31st are now also executed again on the 31st.

Maybe it's a good idea to add an "Ultimato" option, so even those that are created for the 30th are next executed on the 31st.

I would like to bring this topic to the foreground again. I would still think it would be very cool if there was an option within bunq to view the total of payments. Be it for recurring payments or other regular payments.

For example, through a permanent total number somewhere in UI (total amount due on ...) or through the possibility of marking several payments.

@bternes#288518 The strange thing is: this used to be possible. In the past, if you opened the Total page/tile, there was a settings button in the top right corner. There you could view things like all your scheduled/recurring payments.

What's very strange to me, is that features are sometimes removed from the bunq app, and they don't return. Very annoying.

I see - on account level its still possible, but it is "just" a list right? No summary As I remember correctly.

@bternes#288530 I'm not sure what you mean by "list" and "summary"?

If you open one if your sub-accounts, you can indeed see a list of all the planned/recurring transactions from that account.

For me, a summary is a built-in option for the "addition" of payments.

With Recurrent Payments, this refers to, for example, 5 payments that are due at €5 - that I have an indication that these "together" amount to €25.

We have the same understanding of a list. You are right, there is no longer a "global" list - only per sub-account.

                  a year later

It is a pity that such simple functionality is still not available. I don't know of any other bank app where you can't at least add up payments by selecting them.

Finn is also absolutely useless in this respect, I ask him from time to time if he can tell me how much money will be recurret payed from account X at the end of the month. He is firmly convinced that it is €0.
