• Auto budgetting

I am new to Bunq and saw something like Autoselect for automatic budgeting. Unfortunately, it was unclear to me if they also provide auto budgeting for automated collections like the energy supplier bill, etc.

In the descriptions, it shows; For example, when you use your card in the cinema, it will auto budget on the entertainment.

Does someone know how it works with automatic collections?

    @DiegoT#279117 The feature only works with card payments. Transactions to energy suppliers are often done with direct debits.

      @DiegoT#279117 With direct debits, you don't really have the need for auto-selection of an account in the first place, because when you get the direct debit from a company for the first time, you have to manually approve/deny it. And in the same screen, you can choose the sub-account. You can then set it to auto-approve, and it will still use the chosen sub-account, even if it has a different IBAN than the IBAN you gave to the merchant. So auto-select like with card payments is not really needed for direct debits because either 1) you need to manually approve the payment anyways and can choose the right sub-account or 2) the direct debit is auto-accepted and you have chosen the right sub-account in advance.

        @thijsoost#279120 thanks!

          @Jakob-Y#279121 Thanks, Jakob! I did not know that this was the way to go, but it makes sense!
