I recently closed a Joint account because after minutes of opening it I found out my partner didn't have the right bunq subscription to join the account.
Now I'm 'stuck' with a blue 'Archive' button/link below my widgets on my homescreen. The crispness and cleanliness of the home screen with just the widgets is gone!
Of course I understand the need to find closed accounts, but they can also be reached through the search bar.
Allowing the user to hide or unhide the 'Archive' button would return control over the layout of the home screen to us :D
Some ideas could be:
- Automatically hide the button after X period of closing the account (a week, for eaxmple), and then point the user to the search bar to find their closed account when they open the app for the first time after the button is removed?
- Provide an option to hide the button from view. In this solution, the button might become a 'widget', which might be more complex, but does provide more flexibility to the user.
