• Receiving interest from multiple savings accounts on different accounts

Hi guys,

As I understand from this post the interest on a joint savings account is shared by the account holders.

For example: if my girlfriend and I have a joint savings account, half of the interest will go to her and half of the interest will go to me through bunq Payday.

The problem I have with this is that I have a second savings account with my personal savings which also generates interest. The interest from my person savings account and my joint savings account, together with cashback, is paid out to me in total via bunq Payday. However, I would like for the interest earned on my joint savings account to go to my joint savings account and that of my personal savings account to my personal savings account.

Is there a way to configure this? And if not, is this on the roadmap and can we expect this anytime soon?

Thanks,

Job

    @Job#289176 Hey there Job ๐Ÿ‘‹

    Thanks for reaching out to us! You can change your Bank Account that you'll receive your payout to. To do this please follow the steps below:

    1. Go to ๐Ÿ‘ค Profile
    2. Scroll down and tap โ€œbunq Paydayโ€
    3. See the payout Bank Account next to โ€œPaid toโ€

    You can check more about this here ๐Ÿ˜Š

      @purple-axolotl-dinosaur#289177 Hi Violet! That's not the issue here.

      The issue is that @Job#289176 has a Joint savings account and a personal savings account. However, you can select only one account on which you receive the interest.

      What a lot of users would like (this isn't the first post about this subject), is that every savings account receives interest. So then @Job#289176 would receive interest on both the Joint savings account and on the personal savings account, based on the amount of money in the different savings accounts. This is something all other banks have, but bunq doesn't.

        @Job#289176 Hey Job ๐Ÿ‘‹ Thanks for reaching out!

        As Thijs mentions, we've seen requests for increased control of where you receive interest here before that have been noted and passed on to the relevant team for consideration! We appreciate your contributing your opinion - it's important for us to know when there's sustained interest a modification to our services! If we make any changes to Payday payouts, we'll be sure to announce them here ๐ŸŒˆ

          Came here exactly for this. I have a joint savings account with my wife and a personal savings account for myself. I want the interest from the joint savings account to be paid out to the joint savings account and the interest from my personal savings account paid out to my personal savings account.

            @New-Brown-Turtle-195904228#289423 Hey Jelmer ๐Ÿ‘‹

            We're glad to see you found the information you were looking for. This isn't a feature we currently offer, but we're always listening to feedback from our users to learn how we can help improve their banking experience. While this is a feature we don't currently offer, you can make use of our Payment Sorter feature to automatically sort a percentage or fixed amount of your Payday payment to another account ๐Ÿ’ธ

            If we introduce any new features, we'll be sure to announce them to our users, here on Together ๐ŸŒˆ

              I am evaluating bunq for my personal needs and want to strongly support this feature request. I setup multiple Savings accounts for different purposes and want to have the payout to be credited to the respective account. Please put this on the roadmap. Many thanks!
