• Delayed payment, please add a release anyway feature

Hi All,
I have been using Bunq for years and think it's great. It is also very good that Bunq is taking measures to protect people against phishing, but I think they are rushing now because of the negative publicity.

After the email from Bunq this morning the first payment I made, a standard monthly payment of just over €500, Bunq's AI postponed the payment for the reason "aroused our suspicions". I have been making this monthly payments for years and is well within my fixed daily limit.

It's good to protect people, but please release payments within the daily limit immediately or at least give the option to enable a release anyway. If I am not sure whether Bunq will release my payments immediately (sometimes needed), there is no point in using Bunq in the future in addition to my daily shopping.

Ideas/experiences?

      @Diederik-Teal-Lynx#293548 I totally agree. I specially changed bank, because of the freedom. But now I feel treated as a stupid human, not capable to do banking. I want to be able to send money right away. Why isn't this a option (as bank of the FREE).

        I also encountered this issue today. I'm using bunq for more than 4 years. I think it is indeed good to think about fraud and safety but this is not it. I'm totally frustrated with bung right now. The whole bank of the free idea is further away in my opinion. First with the saving goals to a specific savings account change and now this delayed payment feature. This shlould be optional and the user should be in control.Totally unusable by how it is working right now. I've reported a bug for it. I'm really considering leaving bunq for this.

          I can absolute confirm that this is a ridiculous update. I want my hassle-free banking back! What’s the point of charging your customers a premium fee every month with these disadvantages. Unbelievable you guys actually thought this is a good idea.

            I also have a payment delayed, that I wanted to be going out immediately. I was happy to not rely on third-parties like paypal or klarna etc. for immediate payment while online shopping. But istead I have a delayed payment for security reasons, for a transaction that I did manually via the app for 20 €. That is indeed ridiculous.

              Hi have the same problem what is going on. Even from bunq to bunq is it not working instant!

                      I agree this is ridiculous, also have a monthly transfer that now suddenly is delayed. I get that we want to protect stupid people, but if transfers like this get postponed, it's more like the AI behind it is really stupid. I'm giving Bunq some time to come with a better solution or improve the AI because I really liked banking with Bunq, but if this isn't fixed I'm forced to move my funds to a modern bank that instantly transfers my funds.

                        This is really not well-designed functionality, but the worst is, that bunq released such half-baked feature without any proper documentation, without any option to get help from support. They are testing this on customers like we were lab rats.

                        I’m used to move my money between my accounts regularly and it suddenly all stopped working due to “safety feature”. Now if you rely on real-time payments when your salary arrives and you need to pay the bank you monthly rates, then good luck. I’ve contacted support that this is a huge problem for me, but the guys are just ignoring me for days. Worst customer support experience ever.

                          @thijsoost#294142 I guess that Bunq has it for 24 hours. You no longer have access to it, neither was it released to the recipients bank.

                          While in practice it won't make much difference, @New-Ivory-Bunny-1030484719 does have a point. There's an argument to be made that Bunq should pay interest on the held money.

                            Most ridiculous update ever.

                            I had sent payment for my car yesterday 7pm, not knowing of this new (insanely irritating) feature.

                            Today I went to pick up my car only to find out the payment was not yet received. Why? Because of a new 'feature.' Yeah nice feature.

                            I had to leave, and am now back home waiting for this awesome feature.

                            Wasted my time, support couldn't help, and now I won't be able to go on my trip tomorrow on time.

                            All thanks to this new feature.

                            I hate it. Such a bad experience.
