What signed documents can you request?
- Bank reference - this document proves your ownership of the Personal account
- Account closure statement - proof of closure of your user account
- Bank Account closure statement - proof of Bank Account closure
- Card ownership/cancellation - proof of card ownership or closure
If you require a different type of document that hasn't been specified, such as pension documents or documents to receive benefits, please provide us with detailed information about the document you need. This will allow us to check if we can provide it for you. Additionally, we can also provide payment-related documents such as payment confirmations or rejected refund confirmations when necessary.
Important: Documents sent by you need to be pre-filled and signed by you before we review them.
Who can request signed documents?
The request availability depends on the status of your Personal account:
- Bank reference - every user with a fully verified Personal or Business account.
- Account closure statement - only users with permanently closed Personal or Business accounts
- Bank Account closure statement - for users with permanently closed Bank Accounts. Please note that Bank Accounts are permanently closed 60 days following their closure, and it will not be possible to reactivate them after this period.
- Card ownership/cancellation:
- Ownership - users with an active card
- Cancellation - users with permanently blocked cards
How do I request a signed document?
To request a signed up and stamped document, you should reach us through our Support Center. When you request a signed document, we usually send it to you in 3 business days.
Is it free?
There is no fee associated with this service, it's entirely free. The request is typically processed within a maximum of 3 business days, unless it needs to be escalated to our Legal department.
Can I get the document in a different language?
Currently, we only provide documents in English.
Can I receive a physical copy of the document?
Currently, we don’t provide physical copies of the documents. All documents are sent to the verified email address associated with your bunq account. This is to ensure the security and privacy of your information.
